Sugarloaf Provincial Park - Campground

We would have given this Provincial Park a 5 if it were not for the reception experience. We arrived at 12:45pm and checkin is 2pm. We were immediately told to come back at 2pm even though our campsite was empty. The excuse given was the computer system would not allow an early checkin. However, at 1:45 another camper arrived and was checked in immediately. I know this as I followed them in shortly after, still before 2pm checkin. I was given no explanation. We travel 5 months in our motorhome and between last year and this we have never been denied early entry except of course if the site is occupied and that is perfectly reasonable and expected. We love to support Provincial Parks and have in all provinces across Canada. We were very disappointed in this experience. Other than that I give 5 stars to the grounds keeper and maintenance of the washrooms. Never has a Provincial Park washroom been so clean. The bike paths here are also amazing. We stayed 3 nights and would have stayed long if not for our other reservations.

Got a chalet. Was worth the money to be comfy warm in the fall weather. Bathrooms were clean and there is a common eating area with vending machines and a wood stove.

Great camping area with realy Nice walking trails and excellent mountain biking. They also have great downhill park.....the best I've seen. Beautiful facilities and very friendly staff.

First visit but not the last! Biking, skiing, camping, hiking and plenty of other things to do. Great spot to visit.

Spent a couple nights camping here in a chalet and downhill MTBing. Chalet was nice and very clean and the riding was a blast!

Beautiful campground to be in nature, with lots of hiking and biking trails, although the tenting sites lack the privacy you would expect. They also have a very bright street light over the playground area that is on 24/7.They only had one shower stall available for the whole campground - so don't expect to shower.While we were there, someone also left their dog in their tent, so they barked for 2 hours straight in the heat.

Loved everything about this place! Lots of space at every site, washrooms/showers were clean. Lots of trails to explore , can't wait to return next summer :)

Love the campground! If you go on the weekend the gondola is working even on the summer.

An other one of our hidden gems. Ski, hike, sled, food, drinks, shop. Everything there. Great view
