Centennial Place Residence

DON'T LIVE HERE!Why not? I can explain.1. It's too expensive. The price of rent is too high for this neighborhood and living conditions.2. Dirty roommates. No point in complaining about them, staff don't do anything.3. Dirty unit when you move in.3. They don't answer your emails at all.4. Constantly false fire alarms.5. Inoperative heating and cooling system. 30 degrees is the normal temperature in April.6. Noisy.7. Stupid room layout.I would add more, but that should be enough to keep you from living here!

I was living in Centennial rez in year 2014 and they did not send my refund cheque of $3000 . I had to leave Centennial rez midway as i did not like their staff behaviour and they way they cheated me and took my money . At that time i was in hurry to go to next school and their manager Martha borowska kept my money with them . Centennial rez management has send my cheque on wrong address or they still have not send me the mail . Their front desk manager Martha said that they have send the cheque on wrong address or they have not send the cheque at all . I am now back in india and i suffered huge loss. Please give me back my money . I have send you mail also on the email provided on your website . The total amount is 3000$ but i have still not received it . The front desk manager was Martha at that time and i did not receive the cheque till now .

I have lived here for two years and I will never be coming back. The temperature regulation in the building is unacceptable, both years in April they refuse to turn on the AC because “it will be cold again” even though it is 30 degrees in my unit. Whenever I have a issue with something in my room and make a work order it takes weeks for them to get to it if they ever do. I complained about my blinds being broken and the worker just came to the unit, not even inside my room, and said that it wasn’t broken enough and not worth fixing. I also was supposed to have blackout blinds but my room just doesn’t have them. The sink in my bathroom has a terrible temperature control and it is impossible to get warm water out of it, it is either hot or cold. The layout of my room is inefficient and impossible to move the given furniture around to a more efficient layout, the room shouldn’t be built like this. I have also had problems with my Wifi especially over the past year. Lastly, and I would say this is the biggest issue, the room was dirty when I moved in. The floor wasn’t clean at all the surfaces on the desk and nightstand was filthy.Overall I think this is a bad place to stay for the price, since the amenities and the management are terrible.Do not move here.

I have been at Centennial place for 2 years and I have had such an incredible experience living here! My resident assistants in first year Eric and Gabi did such a good job at programming through the pandemic and making everyone feel involved even at a distance. Management is so supportive with questions or issues. Mathew and Steven were great at easing lots of worries my parents had with me staying away from home for the first time and made move in day so memorable. The staff are all just so incredibly kind and sweet and make everyone feel at home in the building.

Here is so amazing. I can have chance to eat different kinds of food in the world. In addition, you can have nice residence assistant to give your suggestions.Most importantly, you can have study room to study.What a perfect place it is! （Joey)

The only thing I want to tell u - you can find a good place instead of here. Otherwise, when I came here, disgusting kitchen and dropping oil from range hood! This is the most horrible place I lived before. You can smell mariguana and horrible music in the evening. By honestly, the most of employees are not friendly as well. They have many of ridiculous rules - for example the house cleaner will ask you take the garbage out of garbage bin. Is this should be your duty ok? If you have budget of 1100 dollars, you can find a fantastic place to live.

Unfortunately I wasnt able to secure a spot to live at centennial residence; however, I paid for the deposit which i was promised would be refunded to me. I have waited months for a refund with no luck, now Centennial Residence has gone completely unresponsive and I fear I just lost the money I paid to an institution that doesn’t care about helping me get the money that is rightfully owed to me. As an international student this is incredibly harmful to me and my finances, and I hope I will be able to bounce back from it somehow. This is my first ever negative review in any place ever, i prefer not saying anything rather than saying something negative, I just feel like its a well deserved review from an incredibly concerned student. Dont make the same mistake i made, make sure a spot is available before spending your money on applications or deposits, it will be incredibly hard to get back once you spend it.

I have moved around a lot but moving back to canada and deciding to live here is my biggest mistake.... there are so many flaws. First 2 of 9 months were okay but the rest of the 7 months were uncomfortable and painful. They make the place seem a lottt nicer in the pictures then it really is. It was dirty and the smoke detectors were broke in 2 rooms. The constantly false fire alarms either super early in the morning or late. The staff plays favourites on residents and some make you feel bad about yourself, however there are many very nice staff members. They also do not do anything about residents litterly STEALING from you... and you have to pay 250$ for a room switch so you just have to suffer in an uncomfortable environment because the leasing agreement is a trap where if you want to move out early, they don't give back the 500$ security deposit. The AC/Heat system is also very unstable and broke down a lot. anyways spend the same or less money on a much better place then here.

My experience at the centennial residence is amazing. Really friendly environment, the RAs are amazing especially Melisa and Abdul. They make our life easy at the residence :))
