Do you want to have a waitress that rolls her eyes at you several times while you're paying +$100 for dinner ? Need more time with the menu? Eye roll. Ask for a drink? Eye roll. Look no further, this is the place to go to. Hope you're lucky and get the dark haired one, she's nice.

Pretty good fish in chips, great tartar sauce and good service. Best deal here is the dinner for four combo. Classic diner feel but the interior could use an update.

Stopped in here on our way to Toronto and it was amazing. French fries are delicious and deep fried cheese curds were the best we had ever had. A lovely spot to grab a lunch and sit by the water. Very easy to navigate to & from the 401.

We went last Wednesday service was fantastic, we were very impressed with Tammy's knowledge of the menu she was a big help in suggesting fish and other items to try. It was our first time there , we will definitely be back. Food was cooked perfectly and the portion sizes were impressive also love the Greek salad so fresh. It was nice to enjoy a beer with our meals . Thanks for the great service and food !

The waitresses were really kind and patient as I took my time to navigate the menu and ask questions as I usually eat at home and was trying to be health conscious about my choice. The grilled halibut was yummy. I liked that it didn't have that old oil taste that I've felt before having grilled fish at other restaurants. The music was nice and it is situated next to the river. Will be back again! :)

We ate at Captain George's, Trenton, today. We had the the family fish and chip dinner for 3. I always like good fish and chips and usually order Halibut, because it is tender and tasty. Without a doubt and without exaggeration, Captain George's Halibut is one of best I've had in years, with a light crispy (not oily) batter. Everyone loved the fish. But, that's not all... the fries were home cut and crispy, and, the coleslaw was fantastic, fresh and tasty... not a limp and vinegary coleslaw that you often get with fish and chips. It was a bit funny that we ate the fish and chips first, and left the coleslaw... until I tasted it, and then we ate every last bit of the coleslaw. Friendly and fast service too. We will definitely return. UPDATE: Yes there are a lot of fries with some of these meals. We took them home in a container, and 4 days later warmed 1/2 with gravy and cheese curds (poutine) which was great. Just tonight, the other 1/2 we just heated in the oven at 375 F and had with another fish meal... they were crispier but very tasty.

We stopped in Trenton for fish and chips on our way to Toronto. Cold and rainy outside, warm and inviting insides. Very generous portions, and the fish was very tasty. Will go back again.

Felt rushed when looking at the menu and trying to figure out what to get. But food was excellent. Pricey but good food. I enjoyed looking at the interesting pictures on the wall while we waited.
