First Choice Haircutters

I will never be back! Was charged 89 dollars for a wash and trim. Granted she blow dried my hair which is included always anyways. For this price I would rather go to a shalon and get a full cut and style. I'm beside myself at this ridiculous price for a first choice haircut !

I am always happy after visiting this store no matter who cuts my hair, they are all friendly and terrific at their job.

Showed a photo of what I wanted and she listened and did exactly what I asked for. Definitely recommend with their new staff

We walked in and was told I would have to wait half hour after waiting 40 mins I asked how much longer, then told oh another 10-15 mins wait … had another engagement at 1 and it was already 12:40, it was a boys hair cut ,, then asked if we could move appointments to 3:30 after the engagement and was told no they don’t book appointments … well then maybe be on time to do the hair cut when you tell customers a time and not be late so they can’t get it done …. I will be also calling the head office this is ridiculous .. need to manage time better ..

Very disappointed with the person who cut my hair today. I won't go back to this location. I understand that mask wearing is not mandatory but when I have someone 2 inches from my face with a cold who tells me she doesn't HAVE to wear a mask that makes it mandatory for me. It's just common courtesy. Please don't tell me everyone has to get this cold! Unfortunately she had started the haircut before I was aware so it made it hard to just walk out.

My friend got his hair cut by this Michelle person and I had redo it when we got home, then unfortunately I ended up with the same person for my hair and was unable pleased do not ask her to layer not good. Then my sister went with my niece and same girl and then told my sister that she can not guarantee this hair cut because she moved a bit. I move more than she did and it's just straight cut for goodness sake. Will make sure never to go to her again or I will wait for another person from now on

I supported someone from work to First Choice. The ladies working helped from opening the door, welcoming us in to the salon. Taking names, accommodating the people supported to sit down. Took the time to listen to how they wanted hair cut and styled. All around so amazing!! Thank you ladies.

What can you say? The place was clean the staff seemed friendly and they like to chat a lot with each other. Which is fine I don't mind friendly people. It does get a little annoying when they're in the middle of doing things and have to leave to go in the back and do other things or deal with customers that are coming in. But it is what it is. The haircuts have gotten quite pricey there and for what you get it's really not worth the money. It would be nice, and as a piece of advice for the staff members there, if they would actually take the time to listen to what the customer wants done to their hair instead of doing what they think should be done to the customer's hair. I get that hair grows back, but it's a little late when cuts are made and it's not what you want. It's not as if hair can be glued back on. I think I will try the other location here in Trenton next time.*Update - better experience when I took one of my kids in for a quick cut. Hairdresser wasn't the most friendliest, but the cut is done and he was happy with it.

Went in at opening on Friday before Thanksgiving, staff were friendly albeit still tired. I didn't want to be rushed for time as I still had to work in the afternoon so figured it would be less busy first thing which it was and I got seated right away. I was told to curl my hair would cost $80 assuming a charge of about $53 on top of their regular for a shampoo, cut and 'style' (about $28). Another salon in the area is $45-60 pending stylist experience and they include all of that for cheaper than here, surprisingly. I asked for layers, texturizing and to be thinned as I have very long thick hair - I have been pulling out clumps of thinned out hair all day since leaving with a damp diffused head as it was not fully brushed out afterwards. Not thrilled about this experience but it is convenient I suppose for walk in appointments where it's harder to get into the salon last minute - I have a funeral the day after this but I'll still have to restyle my hair now..The stylist I had was Michelle
