This is a general review, and not specific to this location.GOOD: the spicy chicken is delicious, their root beer is good and can be served in cold steins.BAD: the hygiene is not on top of the list at A&W. The same person who handles cash, handles the food at points. I've observed it in at least 4 locations.UGLY: A&W runs tons of ads to present the brand as a healthy choice, and yet, when asked from different locations, they mentioned that the oil in the fryer is changed once a week!! Very disappointing.

super convenient location close to Ryerson campus, clean interior with some seating available. Great fast food place to grab on the go or for lunch.We ordered through the app and got the teen burger for free using the burger4free code (but only valid til Dec 4/19). It was like my first time trying the teen burger, tbh i was impressed by how filling it actually was~ I definitely recommend ordering through their app, because I found that I got to add-ons and pick extra toppings like grilled onions, bacon, lettuce for free without extra charge.They also have a plant-based menu that I want to try out tooTeen Burger - $6.89

Long line. Staff disorganized. Was there for breakfast (10:00am). one cashier was completely engrossed in some task while we all just waited in line. Finally someone appeared from the back, took 2 orders and disappeared (went on break … lol). Then another person emerged from the back started one order and never finished before also disappearing. 25 minute wait…. That was the last time for breakfast at this location. This is not indicative of other A&W’s.

This is a standard A&W location with higher prices than most. They are also miserly with their portion sizes.1st visit: Had a teen burger combo with root beer as my drink. Everything tasted great. However, this A&W has higher pricing than most. Paid $14 for a teen burger combo (Which I think is ridiculous. Will not be buying this item again).2nd visit: Came around 10 am for a breakfast snack with a colleague. Had a small coffee, 1 cream. Tasted good. Colleague had the same + a breakfast wrap (ridiculously small). It was the length of my pinky and not much wider (seemed to literally be a slice of egg + 1 slice of cheese wrapped in a tortilla, quite mediocre). I would only come here for the coffees (which are only slightly above mid IMO).

This is one of the oldest fast food Canadian Chains which serves predominantly burgers. I was glad to see a plant based patty option and thought of giving it a try. So, I went for Beyond Meat Burger with Cheese option. The patty was made of jackfruit and it was quite juicy and flavorful. I totally loved the taste. But I felt the size of burger didn’t match the price they were charging. The size could have been slightly bigger. It cost me around 9 dollars for a single burger.

I like their organic, free-trade coffee and their traditional breakfast: 2 eggs cooked on demand the way you want them, Canadian bacon, sausages, hashbrown and 2 toasts. That will keep you going for quite some time. They also offer breakfast sandwiches and excellent burgers. They claim their beef is from grass-fed cattle and I see no reason to disbelieve that claim.

Burgers are okay, just like any other fast food burger joint. Good place to come for a quick late night snack as they are open during late hours. The staff on the night shift aren't always friendly and handle the food without gloves.
