Great overall experience. Friendly, helpful & professional staff. Definitely exceeded my expectations and far better service than competitors. I pre-weighed my material and it matched with their weight and market valuation.

I have used Canada Iron to bid multiple large scrap jobs and clear outs. Great bin services as well as specialized services for large projects. Keep up the good work!

We sold my parents house and learned my father had a basement full of metal. Copper and steel and aluminum. We didn’t know what to do so called Canada Iron. We rented a u haul and brought in the metal. The guys helped us unload and separate the metal. We got paid great money and cleaned up the house. Top experience.

They offer 15 cents a pound for electronics (Sept 2017). A full trunk of old PCs (9 towers) yielded $21. It's not really worth the hassle unless you get your stuff for free and don't mind some traffic to and from this place. Call them first for a quote for what you have.

Canadian iron and metal has Great staff, very friendly and polite. They explain how to sort out precious metals and steel in order to get most money for your material.Pricing is fair and honest. Even though they are busy, they get you in and out quickly.I enjoy going to Canadian iron and metal and I give them a 10/10. I highly recommend them. All employees Art, Arnold, Josh, Eric, Zack, Darren are great guys… you got a question, don’t be shy, ask them.

This place is a public service, having a local metal recycling program in a busy and growing community that provides a safe and professional experience while putting some money back in my pocket,. Thanks

This place thrives on the backs of the low income local residents, who can spend months finding what they can to make some extra money. Most of them probably don’t realize they are being taken advantage of, or just don’t have another option. This is the only place I’ve ever seen people take the bus to drop of metal. That says a lot. Unfortunately there aren’t many options in Toronto and so this “business” takes advantage of their monopoly in the neighbourhood. The “drop off and drive back out, around and back in again ” to get paid system here is chaotic. Your doing two laps of the place for one load.Traffic in and out of here on Dundas can be insane, good luck during rush hour.Worst of all, they aren’t legit when it comes to the true value of goods dropped off. You will get ripped off and not get fair market value for your load. I’ve caught them on this before, and mentioned it, to only have them begrudgingly give me a few extra bucks.Honestly, this place isn’t worth the effort even though it’s the closest for most people. I much rather drive the extra 20 minutes to West Etobicoke where I know I’m not getting ripped off and getting fair market value, where I can see my trucks weight when I drive in, and out, where I can do it all in one shot without doing laps, and where I’m not being rushed or worrying about traffic going and coming.

Visit them 2 days ago, the place is confusing, you have to leave the place and come back to be weithed again, rate for metal is unknown, I leave a rear car door and a exhaust and they gave me $2.5, no receipt or any evidence of the weight difference before and after. Really bad experience.
