Dr. Trevor B. Stone

i had a right knee replacement done by Dr Stone on Feb 01 2016.Dr Stone and staff were wonderful throughout every phase of the process. From Per Op to Post Op and during the healing process I felt I was in good hands and i was confident i was receiving the best medical attention!

Dr.Trevor Stone saved my life, and my leg.I am almost 100% back to normal. I’m actually much better at riding my dirt bike now, than I was before I broke my leg.

I've seen this doctor 2 times. Actually I had 2 appointments, but saw him just once. The first one was needless because I needed an MRI and I was booked for it, but he wanted to see me anyway. When he saw me he said I needed an MRI. Bingo! Now I know! I said I was booked for it on Monday and the receptionist booked a new appointment 2 days after. I asked her if it was enough time to have a result and she assured me that it was. Today I came to see Dr. Stone but he had no time for me. He sent to me somebody who never even introduced himself, I don't know who I was talking to: a doctor, a nurse or just a guy who was walked by and stopped to have some fun. I asked him to open my file and have a look at my MRI report. He came back after a minute and said that they don't have a formal report about the MRI and they will contact me when they have it. Dr Stone didn't even came to say “Hi”. It's an absolute disrespect towards his patients! I skip workdays and, of course, I loose money, but who cares?

I have read reviews of Trevor Stone here and elsewhere and it sounds as though two completely different people are being described. My experience with Dr. Stone, from 2013 to 2018, involved a badly shattered femur that had not been repaired adequately during emergency surgery by another physician, followed by two total knee replacements. I found him to be not only a highly skilled surgeon but a genuinely delightful, caring person with a dry wit and a great sense of humour. Considering that I was fairly berserk about the previous surgery upon first meeting him, he listened to me rant while showing only concern and respect. On more than one occasion he went out of his way to ensure that surgery was done in a timely manner when it might easily have been postponed. I never felt rushed or that my concerns were ignored. He took the time on several occasions to show and explain my x-rays to me, ensuring that I knew exactly what was necessary and how he intended to achieve it. I have recommended him to everyone I know who requires hip or knee surgery and will continue to do so. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Let me say this—if you don’t hit it off with Dr Stone personally, that’s life, but at least recognize that there is no one more qualified to perform the types of surgery he does, and that you are fortunate to find yourself in his capable hands. (And Paula, his Administrative Assistant, is an absolute gem—the best in the business!)

Had a total hip replacement 3 weeks ago by Dr Stone. Seen him this morning and I cannot rate him highly enough. He is going to give me new knees as well. His team through to his receptionist are highly professional. Walking same day after hip-op. I know it’s early days as need more surgery but I know I couldn’t be in better hands with the amazing Dr Stone and his fantastic team who surround him.

Fell 20 feet from my ladder and broke my Tibia and Pylon which is the weight bearing portion at the base of the shin bone which I wish I would of learned about under different circumstances. When I was in Peace Arch the Surgeon had me x-ray'd and said to me If I had this same injury I am going send you to the Surgeon I would want it done by. My injury was on Aug 10th and Surgery on Aug 17th 2021. I am back on my ladder already. This guy is my buddy for life. I had many conversations with folks in the dog park who were walking again because of none other than you guessed it Dr. Trevor Stone. I have a business myself. Don't come on here and attempt to butcher another mans living. Especially one that spends his entire career trying to put people back together. Just because you can get on keyboard and attempt to do damage to someones lively hood doesn't mean you should. I do not understand all this beside manner stuff. We were injured and we want to get fixed. Are you coming for surgery or a hug. I would suggest getting your hugs before you come for Surgery. Thank you Dr. Stone for dedicating your life to fix dangerous people like me. You will always be my buddy."

Not at all happy with the results of my surgery. Very confident before, after I had voiced my concerned his ego took over and he was very dismissive. Terrible bedside manner. He ended up dropping me as a patient after I asked for a second opinion when he had been completely neglecting my care. Very unfortunate although I did get a much better doctor out of it.

Dr. Stone did my first knee replacement in 2020. I am recovering from my second surgery at this moment. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with my first knee and how much I am looking forward to enjoying my second. His office staff are some of the best I have ever dealt with. Highly recommended.

My experiences with Dr. Stone (4 surgeries and counting) have been exceptional. He is a magician in that my right foot and leg were devastated in a motorcyle accident and he was able to save both. His ingenuity and on his feet problem solving are the reason I didn't lose my entire right foot within days of the accident. My long term plan includes at least 2 more surgeries and there is no one else I would let work on me. The Fraser Orthopedic staff are very competent, professional and efficient (especially considering their patient load). Dr Stone's assistant Paula is amazing and incredibly helpful.
