JoeAnna's House

JoeAnna's House was such a blessing to me while my little miracle baby Lincoln was in the NICU for 40 days. Incredible atmosphere, amazing staff and volunteers. So much love for this special place❤️

This place is a refuge for broken hearts and tired bodies. There is a gentle kindness in this place and a sense of mercy. I have been here for almost 2 weeks now while my Dad fights for life or death at KGH. Every hospital needs this, it is an immeasurable gift.

This place is a sanctuary for families in the worst situations. When your loved one is fighting for their life you don't have to worry about anything. You can cook, do laundry, work out, be alone or seek company.The hospital is a short walk away. The staff and volunteers are unbelievably caring, kind, sensitive, and understanding. The atmosphere somehow radiates hope.I hope I don't have to go back, but I'm forever grateful to have been able to stay in this safe haven. Every hospital needs a place like JoeAnna's House.

I have not stayed here however I have done some volunteer work for them. Currently making a table to go behind a couch they have outside. My Rotary club donated a bunch of the furniture, planters, gardening etc. The place is beautiful and the people that work there are very warm and friendly.

Hi .I am Abby, Gordon's spouse.. I was blessed to have been able to stay at Joanna's house while my spouse, Gordon.. was at KGH for an OHS.. I was able to walk back and forth and be with Gord. it really helped financially..There was no stress about parking, I enjoyed the 1 free meal per day.. delicious. The staff were courteous and understaning. The rooms were quiet.. and beautiful.. A great big thank you to all the volunteers and donators and sponsors that made this happen.. Lim Limpt..

Superb facility, spent 2 1/2 weeks here. Accommodations are the best and cost cannot be beat. Come and go as you need. Puzzles to keep your mind on calm things. Helps with the stress of why you are there. 1st class kitchen so you can cook whatever you want. Only downfall, I like the occasional red wine so had to find a different location to enjoy. The ladies are amazing as well as the volunteers.

It's like a 5 star hotel with the best staff ever. Close to the hospital where you can walk to visit your loved one. Laundry facilities and loads of room to store your groceries. Thank-you.

The world need more places like this.Like a mirage in the dessert JoeAnna's House has saved my wife and I and many others from falling into dispair. They lift people up when they are very much in need. When one wakes up not sure how the day will go and uncertain about the future it is so amazing to wake up in a place that energizes the spirit and breathes life and positivety and strength into our bodies so we can spread that energy to our lived ones and others in need. A smile and hopeful mindset is a much needed peice of the healing process and oh so powerful.From the moment the light hits you in the main lobby JoeAnnas house touches you in a way you can only dream of in times like this. The friendly community it bolsters is like none other. What a beautiful facility with an interesting history behind how it came to be.A shining light in the night.Thank you so much to all the staff that made us feel at home and comforted us.
