I am very thankful to the wonderful ladies at Caress for helping me on my journey to remove unwanted hair that I have from hormonal imbalance. I have been struggling with unwanted facial hair since I was a teenager and after researching about how effective electrolysis was I decided to come to Caress. Over the past year I have seen dramatic results from my sessions, and am so glad that I stuck with the process of getting electrolysis because I am so close to having no more facial hair! My facial hair used to be my biggest insecurity and I’m so happy that I don’t spend hours waxing, plucking, shaving and covering my face with makeup all the time. It definitely takes 4-6 months to see a difference but it is worth coming to Caress since everyone has years of experience and they also use the best equipment available. I just wish I started sooner and am so happy with my results so far!

Today I had a consultation and treatment with Kathryn Hay at Caress. I can’t say enough about how wonderful my experience was today. Kathryn was transparent and informative about what the treatment entailed and the cost. I did not feel like I was taken advantage of like some other places I’ve been to for cosmetic treatments. The office was clean, the staff (Eileen, receptionist and Kathryn) were all very friendly and skilled, and my privacy was respected. I will definitely be going back for future treatments. I did a lot of research to find the clinic with the most experience. I chose Caress Electrolysis and I am so happy that I did. I am extremely satisfied with my results! I met Kathryn and the staff at Caress about 12 years ago. Kathryn employed me after I finished my electrolysis program. Kathryn was my mentor for the 2 years I was employed there, best 2 years of my life I might add! Sadly, I left as my husband retired from the military and we relocated to Chilliwack BC where I opened my own practice. I could not have done it without Kathryn's tutelage over those 2 years. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient and is always keeping up to date on latest information and techniques electrolysis has to offer. She uses only the best equipment and has the highest standard of infection control. Kathryn and the staff at Caress are a great team that work together to help all their clients feel good about themselves. I would recommend Kathryn or any other electrologist at Caress Electrolysis for your permanent hair removal needs. They are also trans friendly and have amazing hours to serve their clientele.

I didn't even make it to booking a consult. I found Caress after a quick search and decided to phone in after reading so many great reviews. When my call was answered, I informed them that I had found them online and that I would like to book a consult. I was immediately answered with it will be some time" then was placed on hold. She then came back to me and I was placed on hold for a second time (no worries

The best electrolysis service in Ottawa. I live in downtown but still take time to drive there because the Caress Electrolysis team is amazing. I also like the fact that they use a very nice microscope which not all electrolysis places do. I've had appointments with Kathryn, Jane and Julie and each of them were nothing but top notch professionals.

My experience at Caress has been and continues to be great. I went in with a ton of questions and worry and was happy to find that the staff is very knowledgeable. Being transgender, I had many worries and anxieties about having electrolysis done, and pain was one of my major concerns. However, my needs have been respected and I feel cared for while I am there. I intend on continuing my visits, and setting up appointments has been very convenient for me along the way.

For context, I am a 34 y/o with PCOS and I have had many difficulties with coarse hairs on my chin and jawline and a lot of skin irritation and acne issues due to plucking/shaving.I was a little nervous for my first appointment, as I didn’t know what to expect. Kathryn was amazing… experienced and very knowledgeable, which put my mind at ease. The consultation included me being able to experience the treatment, and it was not nearly as painful as I had worked it up to be in my head. I then decided to go ahead with a 30 min treatment (as per Kathryn's recommendation) and Kathryn did a great job chatting with me to keep me distracted from the minor discomfort, and I was very relaxed after I got used to the feeling of it.I actually can’t wait for my next appointment, and to finally be free of these annoying hairs that have been plaguing my life for years. My advice, don’t wait. I wish had done this a long time ago.

Kathryn is an expert who is truly passionate about what she does! You will not find another electrologist in Ottawa who has the skills and knowledge she has. The staff at Caress are very pleasant and the clinic is professional and clean with a relaxing ambiance. Kathryn explained everything to me during my free consultation. She was honest about everything from the process itself to the timing of the results. She then removed hairs from a sample area of my choice so I would know exactly what to expect. She made me feel very comfortable in choosing her as my electrologist. I would highly recommend Kathryn to anyone looking for a true specialist!

I never thought I'd be writing a review for this, but I feel compelled to tell you that ever since my girlfriend started going to Caress, she has felt so much more comfortable and confident. She actually looks forward to her appointments and never has anything but awesome things to say about Kathryn and her team. Thank you for helping people feel better in their skin!
