We met Lyla when she was recommended to us by someone who worked with her when she helped renovate the Ronald McDonald House. We were told that Lyla came in and fixed all of the mistakes a previous designer had made. They raved about her and after she helped us with our reno we understood why. Not only is she a beautiful and kind lady, but she is always mindful of her clients needs and budget! Her vision was beyond anything we could have thought of. She made our house look so great with all her tips that we never would have known to do without her. Recently, she helped us with our new build. She helped us design the house from the very beginning stages to the landscaping. She is so practical and knowledgeable that she even blew our contractor away who usually doesn't like designers because he found them difficult to work with. He asked for her contact number and passed it on to his other clients because he said he had never seen a designer that was so practical and realistic. We are so pleased with our home. We have had so many compliments and have had many people drive by and take pictures. We would never build another house or renovate without her.

I have worked with Lyla of True Colour Designs since 2001. Lyla is talented, professional and a pleasure to work with. She works extremely well with contractors and trades. Lyla has done everything from choosing colours to suggesting and accessing materials such as furniture and lighting for us. I can and do contact Lyla for any design questions and I get great advice. I cannot recommend True Colours Design highly enough- my wife and I have been lucky enough to use the services of design consultant Lyla at least 4 time over the last 15 years to help with extensive renovations to our home .On each occasion, we have been thrilled with the results.We also retained Lyla to be our design consultant when we decided to completely renovate our condo at Whistler three years ago - the end product was spectacular and we continue to receive effusive compliments from our friends and family when they visit .We have used other design consultants in the past before discoverying True Colours Design and no one has ever come even close to offering the creative and excellent services we have received from Lyla .She has always listened carefully to our ideas and managed to perform her magic to transform them into a reality far exceeding our imagination. Lyla was recommended to us, and we found her to be a delight to work with. She works hard to determine what you need, and is organized and on top of the details. She saved us so much time by helping source the many items we needed for our reno project, and gave us great advice and guidance along the way. It saved us so much time - and helped us avoid costly mistakes we surely would have made in our inexperience with a project of this scope. There was really only one glitch - there was a change made by the supplier to the layout plan for the granite countertop, and this resulted with something being installed that was not what we expected (or wanted). Lyla immediately took action to remedy the problem and ensured that the company replaced it with what was needed to complete the kitchen design - and at no cost to us. She worked with us for over a year, and became not just a professional we relied on, but also a friend. We would certainly recommend her to others and we will use her again. I first met Lyla about 7 years ago when we did a full home renovation where she provided design advice and services that included choices of all renovation materials, from floor to ceiling. She was involved with a complete kitchen re-design including all new cabinets (kitchen and bathrooms) which we love. Lyla was a joy to work with and respected both our budget and our desire to reuse as many existing furniture pieces as possible. Recently, I reconnected this spring with Lyla once more to help me select a new custom couch and chairs as well as dining table and new paint colours. I appreciate Lyla's genuine, honest approach and trust her to help me find great pieces and make good design choices.

We recently utilized Lyla to design our kitchen renovations, as well as the family room, laundry room and powder room. Lyla has been excellent to work with and has respected our conservative tastes. She also saved us over $1500 by recommending we use remnant quartz countertops for the laundry and powder room. The pieces we used were excellent and the savings was a great benefit. Her ability to match colours throughout was greatly appreciated as we could never see it on the small samples that are provided by the paint companies. The completed renovations are very nice and we have had nothing but positive comments. I would highly recommend True Colours Design Group. Lyla was a pleasure to work with and made sure we were happy with all decisions. We hired Lila to assist us with renovating our Kitchen, Bathrooms, Flooring and re-painting. She gave us excellent advice and introduced us to wholesale suppliers so that we were able to get amazing prices on the materials. She incorporated the colours of our existing furniture with quartz counter tops, appliances, flooring and paint, so that everything would work together harmoniously. Would definitely use her reasonably priced services again. We highly recommend Lila at True Colours Design.
