Raging Elk Adventure Lodging

Very good place to stay with great amenities for a hostel, but my biggest complaint is that the top level of the bunk beds in the private rooms do not have much ceiling space, which makes it very hard to get down especially if you are tall - not sure if this is compliant with fire safety regulations. I was unfortunate to have a nosebleed when I woke up (it’s quite dry out there!) and was stuck on the top level where I couldn’t get down easily. Room is fairly hot as well but opening the windows and the portable fans help alleviate it somewhat. Overall a good place for the value.

Staff are super kind. Rooms are good enough for a hostel but the paper thin walls will have you reaching for earplugs, This place may have been worth it when it was cheaper!

Good quality for the price, friendly staff and has a bike storage! I will stay there again! The hot water in the shower was great! Was impressed with the wood work and new deck! Waking distance to all amenities!

Private room. The room was unbearable hot. Yes, there was a heat wave. But if your rooms get to a point that it’s insanely hot, and absurd to have guests sleep in that suffocating room: maybe warn them in advance so they can choose to make other plans.No ‘we’re sorry’, nothing. Just ‘we don’t advertise air conditioning’.I cut my stay short (did get the remaining night refunded).Never again.

Stayed one night on the way through Fernie in one of their pod-style accommodations. Not for the claustrophobic or the privacy-minded, but I found it more spacious than I expected. The bed was comfortable, the shared bathrooms were clean, and I didn't hear any other pods, which is surprising when it's just a curtain separating you from the main room. But for the price, you can't beat this option!

It has been a wonderful two-night stay for my family. Great location! Great staff and amenities. The only issue for us is that the room gets too hot at night especially that we are here in summer. It could have been nice if they add another fan (two fans per room on hot season will be great!) But overall, its a great place to stay for those who wants to pay less!

We missed the first night of our stay because of road conditions and when we called to let them know we would be there tomorrow they told us we wouldn't have to pay for the night we missed. I thought WOW if that's not a precursor for great service I dont know what is. Turns out that was a lie. When checking in they did a 180 and said they were charging us anyway. I expected to pay for the first night anyway, but the first lie was unprofessional.The rooms are small to say the least and the thermostat seemed to have no effect. Be very careful when heading to the lockers" they do not seem to salt or ice the paths and I fell more there than on the ski hill."

Spent the night here on my way to Cranbrook as my vehicle was at the local Ford dealer. Great place, I was lucky as I was a traveller during the off season"there were barely any other people there. Place is as good as the pics look"

Good Morning,It's around 11:25 on 30 June 2023, I called to inquire about the availability of the rooms but he said we only have pods and I dint understand what that means...It was so rude of him to just hang up on me and don't bother explaining it to me...Dint even answer the call the second time..I was innocently calling back I thought there must be some technical problem...I was just expecting him to be nice to people... It's very bad for ur business and it was hurting just because English is my second language you don't have act likethat.I was a potential customer...if not this time..may be next time...if he treated me well I would remember... I'll still remember..But remember never to call this place..ever..-Thank you for your quick response and your concern to do things right..I appreciate it.I just had few points on your response.First, I was sitting in my house in Calgary where I could hear him clearly but may be let's give him benefit of doubt here.Second point.. this is from one business man to the other...I understand you guys must be busy...I usually suggest if u ever have hang up on anybody please say it over the phone..andCall them right back and finish the conversation.I was disappointed just because,he didn't even call me back after his phone rush.Hope you understand my point.My kind Regards and best wishes

This is the second time staying here. The first time was only one night last winter when we were there for some skiing butthis time I chose to enjoy a short summer holiday there and I was not disappointed. My partner and I had a family room. Would have preferred a private room as those have fridges but there were all booked up. We stayed for four nights. The room was cozy, the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed the cubbies and hooks to keep things organized.The staff were all friendly and so fun and helpful. Dylan who works in the Kodiak lounge in the lodge was exceptional!The food in the lounge was also really good! Try the fries! They're to die for!I can't wait to go back again!
