My husband and I have been seeing Rick over the course of many months to learn strategies and reasons for our kids' behaviours. He has been extremely helpful and we find we are getting success with the kids. I would highly recommend him.

I found Rick Defoe to be very caring compassionate knowledgeable helpful understanding and sympathetic to my conditions worries and concerns. When I went in I had a gambit of issues. He took the time to enlighten teach and show me the means I had in me when I was in a place I felt of no return. I have trauma and abuse issues stemming from my childhood as well as my military service. I walked in as he was my last resort. I was in a very dark isolated place and he helped me find and regain who I thought I lost along time ago. I would recommend his services to civilians and military personnel in need of assistance guildance compassion and understanding. I thank you so much Rick for all you have done given and shown me. Rick is, by far, one of the most beautiful souls our boys have had the privilege of being with. He cares about them, is flexible with what they need, and is willing to meet them where they're at. There's something to be said for a man as gentle and influential as Rick.

Rick deals with some of the most at risk children. He has been amazing to work with and his positive outlook makes children want to return to do the hard work with him of dealing with their issues. Cant say enough positive things about his practice. Thanks Rick!

Rick's gentle yet honest manner enabled trust to be established quickly, and his insight and guidance have helped our son and our family significantly. ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) is an excellent match for us and makes so much sense, while CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) with other counsellors was limited in its effectiveness.
