I had a great experience and highly recommend Janika MacKinnon Photography! Janika took the time to get to know me and meet my specific needs. I knew I wanted to do a photoshoot, but not exactly what I wanted to capture. She helped me discover what it was I was wanting and worked around making my wishes come to life. She took her time before, during and after the photoshoot to make sure I was happy. The result is priceless, capturing a moment in my life I will forever cherish.

When Janika approached me to do a shoot, i was very hesitant, simply of my own insecurities, it was during quarantine, i had put on some weight, am i too old for this, i didnt feel attractive and the list goes on. Janika has a way of distracting you and getting you to relax, from her gentle approach and very soft spoken personality to her quirky jokes, it really feels like you are just hangin out with one of your girlfriends while she is snapping away and capturing you at your most natural authentic self..It was such a pleasure working with her and iam so happy with how all the pictures came out, i highly recommend Janika, trust me, you will not regret it!

Janika is an extremely talented photographer. She shot and edited our engagement photos. We asked her to lean into her artistic point of view and she absolutely delivered. We are not models and she did an excellent job preparing and communicating poses based on the looks we described to her. She was fun to work with on the shoot and easy to work with during the edits. Janika is an amazing photographer! If you are looking to get some portraits done in Montreal, I highly recommend her services. She gave me a total of eight shots in a package that included full makeup and editing. She has her own private studio, and I felt very comfortable in the space she created. She is also very accommodating and understanding. I had to change the date of the shoot multiple times and each time she was able to move around my schedule. Very professional.
