The Deck Store

We live in Kelowna and were looking for alternative deck options rather than the limited choices we have in town. We came across The Deck Store online and began dealing with their Edmonton location. After beginning the design process, they suggested we deal with the Calgary store as they are closer to us for shipping. The Calgary Deck Store took over and we had a great experience dealing with Adrian. He recommended a product that was cool on your feet as it can get pretty hot here and also has a good grip. Adrian was a tremendous help, walking us through all the steps of where the material needed to be installed and showed us how the framing layout should go even though we only purchased the deck boards from him! It was a great experience with both stores and we highly recommended them for their knowledge, professionalism, service and product. Thanks Adrian and The Deck Store!

Rarely do I speak ill of a buisness but today I feel it is necessary too warn all potential buyer or contractors of the Deck Store in Calgary. We knew initially it would take the 6 weeks for delivery of the composite deck material but then after that time frame it became excuses after excuses. Until today when we found out the buisness is being sold. So at this point, we can't say if we are getting are money back any material at all.It would be my strong recommendation to not deal with them at this point. As you my end up in the same situation. I will update in couple of day as this situation is still on going.It been 111days and still no material

Last year Simon and the construction team did a fantastic job installing our composite deck. We are really enjoying it. This year I am going to add an extension. Initially, the experience from the Deck Store was great. I did some online research and went to the store to ask questions on composite vs. PVC decking and Simon was very helpful in helping me select the right product for my deck. Simon knows his stuff.Once I placed the order, things changed. A few weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything from them regarding installation schedule or the status of my order. This was a big problem for me - I needed to know when installation was happening so I could schedule business travel. Simon knew this.I called the store multiple times for 3 weeks trying to reach Simon without him returning a single message; employees I spoke with made it clear that he was the only one who could help and the best they could do was leave him yet another message.I finally ended up having to drive to the Deck Store and managed to catch Simon while he was at the store. He hadn't even scheduled my install and scheduled it for the following week while I was there.Simon explained that he was renovating his house and this is why communication had been poor... could my install not have been delegated and managed by another Deck Store employee?!Pro Tip - there are professionals called project managers. If you are so busy that you can't effectively manage your business, hire one.

Fantastic customer service. I required just some deck plugs, they came through with the colour match and provided me with exactly what I needed. It was quick and easy. Adrian was awesome to deal with, would definitely recommend using this company!

The Deck Store gave us fantastic customer service. Simon & Chris especially were fantastic to deal with. If you want a perfect deck installation, The Deck Store is the place to go.

This has to be the worst company that I have ever dealt with. The deck we installed, a portrait solid board, pre drilled shattered not once but twice and the store could care less. Our clients the purchased the railing system for which they failed to send all the hardware with it, the guy that brought out the remaining hardware demanded more money! ThisCompany is not professional, they could care less about the negative reviews! I will go across the road to timber town and never use this company for anything again. If I could give zero stars I would.

Staff is professional and the products are top notch . We decided to do our own installation and had the Deck Store Calgary supply our Composite Decking Materials . We went in with our Plan , and selected the brand from the well designed showroom of products , we were educated on the differences and selected our color and brand choices . Connor spent a few minutes with our design and built a materials list , his calculations were on the mark . We had a potential timing issue with delivery of one of the colors , but Chris Made a few Calls and put it together to make it happen in our very short timeline . Their Reputation for being the place to get your deck is well deserved . Thank you

I ordered had railling installed for my deck and during a time when materials were hard to come by, be it availability or shipping issues, Simon and his staff always kept me up to date on the status of the installation. Their friendliness, professionalism and caring for their customers is second to none. Prices are more than fair and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who asked.

Our house had a 30 year old wood deck that needed full replacement. Samantha Clarke and the team at the Deck Store were instrumental in making our new deck beautiful and turn out exactly the way we wanted it to.Sam was very helpful at the onset of the project helping us pick materials, giving pros and cons of each option, and helping us match the decking to align with the colours of our house.Once the materials were decided upon, I did up some drawings (I'm a construction manager by trade) and Sam did up her own set to show us a rendering and complete a full material estimate. Once we had the estimate finalized we ordered the material and it came delivered to us promptly.I completed the installation work myself. Sam's estimate was bang on - we had a small amount of leftover parts, which Deck Store will let us return (in new condition).Our new deck looks awesome and their team is very helpful to pinpoint what you're looking for and help you complete a design and estimate the cost. We would highly recommend Sam and the Deck store team.
