Halifax North Memorial Public Library

Small but great little library full of a variety of services such as tutoring for kids etc. They have kids and teens sections and a nice play area and even a lego table for the little builders.

Staff are super great and helpful! Needed to have a place that was quiet for me to make a call and they opened up one of the conference rooms for me to do so. Just got a library card too and can't wait to come back more for studying and the books!

The staff are very kind and inclusive. Like most Libraries it functions as a community center and is a vital part or the neighborhood

You have to go to the fifth floor! It's so nice and cozy! with massive windows and leather seats. There's always one or two chairs empty. The patio also recently opened on the roof top which is amazing, couldn't get a seat there though. The way you return your books is really cool (some like conveyer belt that brings the book up through glass panes) we happened to be there when there was a performance, a violin and piano duet, really cool! I believe there's always different community event happening like the one above. There is a full theatre atrium attached to the library.

Amazing little library which provides almost everything you would expect from a central library.Kind staff, children playing inside and out, good reading space and enough computers.

Service:5⭐ | Location:5⭐ | Engagement:5⭐Absolutely life savior place for those who are in urgency of accessing secure internet connectivity for last minute documentation that too in a totally new + unknown city.I have been to Quebec and Ontario, have accessed public libraries there but never experienced such smooth access and warm welcoming faces except Halifax.The most valuable feature of this library is, the offering of a guest login to the library system through a pre-printed guest code snippet. It's a boon to those who don't have or can't have a free Halifax public library card due to the obvious reason of just visiting the city as a tourist or explorer which are bound to short term stay in the city.The time limit of guest login internet access is standard 60 minutes.The library has numerous children engagement programs running along with tutoring services free of cost. The place was tidy and filled with colorful art pieces all over the reception background wall.In nutshell I had really really great time and smooth access experience with them. Love to visit them again and thank them in person if I get chance to visits the city ever again.
