St Albert Tune Up & Brake Auto Centre

Went in to get drive shaft done after it broke in the middle of the road and this mechanic was the closest to where I was. After it was done, car was vibrating which did not happen before. Went back in a few days later and entire drive shaft was replaced no charge as it should be.A few days later went to another mechanic to get an oil change done and that mechanic noted the drive shaft was leaking. Went back to this St Albert mechanic telling him the drive shaft was leaking and the owner showed total attitude not wanting to even look at the vehicle. No responsibility at all noting the fix will be a couple grand. Car is still shaking, drive shaft is leaking. Absolutely disappointing.

Good afternoon, I have used Brent in the past many times for different types of services, to which over all has been a decent experience. However, the most recent time was when I had a block heater checked and Brent indicated that the block heater was too old and corroded and he did not want to risk taking it out instead selling my son an oil pan heater which although 'worked' there was not even a difference and the vehicle continued to have cold starts. I brought this to Brents attention to which his mechanic took an ohmmeter out and checked the plug in the parking lot saying its all good and it works. Plug it in at night ...vehicle continued to start hard and cold. I wanted money back Brent said no. I then took vehicle to another St Albert mechanic near by along St Albert trail and he easily replaced the block heater to which it works great and heats the engine block and the engine has nice warm start now.Brent has won many awards but be careful brent don't let it go to your head, listen to your customer, you were wrong in this instance and you did not look after your customer, and furthermore when I went in to speak to you about you simply dismissed me, and went on about your busy day. So thank you Brent for not fixing the vehicle and being lazy and slapping on an oil pan heater which did nothing, and thank you for not taking care of my concerns after the fact when I went to see you. And thank you for waking me up to see that I needed to find a better shop. And thank you for ensuring that my son paid twice. Thanks again, Craig.

Brent was so quick to get me in for a wheel bearing issue. When I left the shop after getting them fixed he said it would be night and day driving, he wasn't wrong! My car feels better driving it now than it was when I got it. Very honest guy and great and efficient work. Will be my go to spot for my vehicle in the future! Thanks Brent!

Had a Lancer in to be serviced that hadn't been maintained well for a while. I had an overdue oil change and old brakes done. While the shop had my car they fixed a few little things like missing lights and wrote up a detailed report of observed faults like rust and damaged/ worn parts.They priced everything fairly and were happy to give quotes and explain how work proceeded on the vehicle.I moved to St. Albert 3 years ago and finding local places like this that appreciate having you as a customer as much you appreciate good service is what makes me enjoy living here so much.Thanks to the gang at Tune Up & Brakes.

I had a significant brake issue and was able to get in right away for an inspection without an appointment. Staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They provided a detailed report of all work that was done and needed to be complete. I would recommend them to anyone looking for automotive tune up and repair. They go above and beyond.

Brent and his team are always amazing! Brent (owner) will call you and is honest about what everything will cost; he’ll always get your approval before making repairs — so you aren’t gouged when it’s time to pick up! He also takes the time to explain everything and never makes you feel dumb for asking question which is matched with his friendliness. The team is hard working as they worked overtime to get my car back to me before the weekend, and made sure my car drove smoothly. Best repair shop in St.Albert and Edmonton, hands down.
