Empower Simcoe

Called and asked for help and was told I was doing what they do and pretty much got told to keep it up BC they would be doing what I was doing . And they do not help.

My son recently died and I was shocked to learn that EmpowerSimcoe have a policy which does not permit a person pass at home, even if that person has been living there for 25 yrs. They rejected my son at the end of his life and forced him to either go to the hospital in Orillia or to the Barrie Hospice. Even the doctors at the hospital questioned his being there for everything is in place for a resident of Orillia to pass comfortably at home. This was tragic and made a very difficult time even worse. If they have a policy which can deny a person his/her rights at the end of their life when they are most vulnerable, I question their motivation and compassion.

My daughter and I come for their Saturday programs. All staffs are so friendly and professional. My daughter enjoys the playtime and interaction with staffs, other kids and parents.

Great agency to deal with as a person being supported I can tell you the staff are amazing super welcoming. Overall the best agency I’ve been a part of so far it’s a must recommend.

The preschool program and the facilitators are doing an amazing job.

Empower is a not for profit working as a charity helping those in the community living on the fringes to be able to access resources within their region being provided by local government and organizations. Things such as housing subsidies

I've had nothing but disappointing experiences in trying to get assistance from housing access workers in this organization. They are unreliable, disorganized and completely useless.

home owners , don't deal with them , they are bringing homeless people putting them in your appartment , with no education , they don't care if those cause a damage to your property , or disturbing neighbour's , they only care about tenant numbers , they are very good in measleading landlords,they pretend they cannot control the tenant which is not true , simply they are corrupted , even complain page on their website is deasabled ,don't donate please to such careless organizations .

Lots of activities for people with special needs. Clean facilities, friendly staff.
