ECCO Recycling & Energy CORP

I find the staff incredibly helpful, to the point that they can be. They offer some services I was unable to find elsewhere in Calgary. I enjoy the security staff, as they are willing to make jokes and chat while waiting in line.

Don’t waste your money here. This is a privately owned dump, and they have a $55 minimum charge which is over double the city of Calgary rate of $25. I dropped off a couple hundred pounds of particleboard, and the bill was 56.19 after-tax. Ridiculous.

Never had a problem here. Everyone has always been friendly and helpful. My favourite dump in Calgary.

Came here just before close on Saturday. Was unsure where to drop my electronics. One of the guys working there helped me with a smile. I didn't catch his name but thank you to the mid to late 20s looking guy who helped me out with my stuff from my minivan.Only comment about the place in general is better signage for public electronics drop-off. Only comment about electronics drop-off in the city in general which isn't ECCO's fault is there needs to be more, and better public awareness. Some places only take certain things also, which is frustrating.

I found the staff there incredibly rude! There's NO signage so I had a heck of a time,trying to figure out where to dump my garbage. Not an employee in sight,when you have questions...but as soon as you make a mistake? Here they come to tell you you're stupid! But beyond that? The gentleman operating the big truck that shifts the garbage heap,was honking,flailing & making several hand gestures at me,while I was wrapping up my dumping.get organized,there... seriously!

I had some issues with a junk remover company and I was helped by a person on-site. I forgot to get her name but she was very helpful and went above and beyond to help me try and locate my stuff. The staff were so friendly there as well. The area was clean and maintained!

Driver L67-19 cut me off in traffic, and also didn't use any signal lights

These people are completely clueless. Very poorly run operation. $48 for small truck load.Poor signage, extremely rude and beligerant staff.Poorly maintained drop bin area littered with debris and broken glass.For the high price, more is definitely expected.

Staff was very rude, signage was very unclear.... is spray painted signage on barriers is the normal for businesses? Will not be using this dump. Poorly maintained at best. So sad to see in kept this disorganized. People who run this should be ashamed to open their doors to the public. Would review 0 stars.

My boyfriend accidentally left a TV I had in the truck for my daughter at ECCO in the electronic recycling pile.When I learned he left the TV at ECCO, I went back there to retrieve it.I was just leaving ECCO when an employee approached my vehicle, who very rudely accused me of stealing the t.v, demanding I put it back into the recycling pile.Even though it was my TV, I have bad anxiety and his overall demeanor and demands made me feel so uncomfortable I ended up leaving it behind.I feel like every time I go there, if he is there he is creeping on me, staring at me, and now hes confronting me , accusing me of stealing my own things.He's accusing me of taking things, when the previous time I was here he was actually looking through the recycling himself, putting things to the side of the bin.The TV I was pressured into leaving there was a nice TV, maybe he wanted it himself or maybe he is just a bad creep. Or both.At any rate if you're a woman, beware of ECCOs employee BARRY because he's a super disrespectful rude creepOther than that it's a good place to recycle electronics, cardboard, plastic etc. If Barry wasn't there, I would rate better than 1 star forsure.
