Stutters Restorations

Worst experience ever.craftsmanship worse the a handyman.unable to organize or plan anything.delays and excuses never ending.job still not done dont feel stutters competent to finish job.dropped worker off with his bycicle and paintbrush.to scared to leave worker unattended had to cancel appointment.this is condensed version of stutters incompetence.

Ross came in today to checkout water damage on the level below us. Thankyou for being quick , efficient and honest. We saved thousands thanks to his honesty. Thankyou Ross!!!

I called Stutters as soon as the plumbing was repaired. They came on a Wed and soaked up the water in my crawl space and then installed heater/dehumidifier equipment. An employee came a couple of days later to check on the humidity level etc and the equipment was removed the following week. Very professional and tidy job.

Terrible customer service and appalling business practices. PM Ross Mara has written me off and has not responded to any attempts to reach out for months. As another reviewer said, promises were made and not kept. Fridge and freezer both left unplugged and hundreds of dollars of food lost. This money has not been paid to me and now no one will answer my calls. Pictures posted are an example of how how my place looked after being cleaned...twice. I had to hire a cleaner to come in, and though I was promised to be reimbursed for that, I’m still fighting for that money as well. Stutters still owes me over $400 and will not respond to any attempts I have made to connect with them.Chris was very helpful through the process and I felt he was there to do a good job. Alas, he was not my PM and cannot swoop in to fix the bad business done by his colleague.There is much more to say on this matter, but I cannot spend any more time or energy on this.

Don't know where to start with all the poor quality work. The first guy shows up and turns on heaters and fans blowing all the toxic sewage fumes all over the house, had them come back for poor workmanship and missed work. Months later we are finding items missing, not connected, caulking around fixtures not mould free, very poorly done, Amateur job. Do Not Use These People!!!

Initial response was great. Went in the sewer quickly. SO glad we didn't have them contract repairs - only contents. Lots of promises but these people don't respond to inquiries. Broken and lost items handled by technicians. Incomplete damage and loss inventory. Debris of damaged items left on deck for months. Many larger items considered to be viable for restoration, yet no mention of any actual restoring. ie china cabinet...Took away photo album in December, it is now August. They cannot locate. Three weeks ago the project manager brought a box of restored" items which aren't ours. Had our label (listing the missing photo album) on one side

Have tried using them. The contact person won't return calls. Won't liaise with insurance agents. 7 weeks and waiting.

I never write negative reviews, but my experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare!I had a small kitchen fire back in the beginning of October, they were great at first with responding to the clean up portion of it, but after the cleanup was done, my kitchen was left unusable to this day. Original project manager quit mid job after receiving a signed work authorization form, never heard or been responded to by the new project manager who took over all his jobs, got my kitchen cabinets back that looked like they were glued together with cheap wood that doesn't match the originals. Most poor customer service I have ever experienced with any company. If your insurance suggests this company, ask for alternate options as it will only cost your insurer more money!

Stutters arrived ahead of schedule. Therefore we were not given our allotted time to collect sentimentals, important items or photos. They threw everything out even after assuring us they would save our photos. Shelly promised us they would save them. We watched their employees walk out with our belongings, putting them in their vehicles. They even went into the basement and stole our pickles. I would never recommend them.

I can’t recommend a company that doesn’t stand by its promises. The project manager promised our furniture would be protected with plastic wrap when it was moved. It wasn’t and of course it was scratched. An attempt to repair it was not successful and now the PM won’t return my calls. Repairs were done well by a subcontractor so stutters doesn’t get credit for that.I’ll know better next time. Use a different company.
