The Trough Cook Shack

Does not seem that this place exists anymore. The only food served on the Manitoulin Brewery patio currently is a fish n chips truck on weekends and the Anchor Inn delivery service.

It is closed this time of year, but I went during the summer and it was fantastical. I would highly recommend stopping in for a quick bite and delicious beer if the weather is nice. The only seating is outside so I would only get takeout if it is cold or raining. The menu is good and the atmosphere is great. Definitely worth a stop.

It was amazing!! Burgers good, poutine great, wings fantastic!!!

Had chicken fingers with poutine and it was 8 out of 10. Others had burgers, fries and other goodies and they all liked them. Brewery right beside it and outdoor beer make it a great stop!

They have a great little set up with amazing food. I highly recommend the meatball mess best sandwich I've ever had!!

I'm in Little Current visiting for a wedding decided to stop at the trough for lunch I got an apple bacon smoked amazing poutine I would strongly suggest this to anybody visiting in the area it is by far the best food around this is my favorite poutine and as a poutine enthusiast I have had plenty of experience

I like the set up here! Kool place! I have had better takeout food. I will go again n order something different!

OMG. If you've never eaten here, then your missing out. The best poutine and burgers ever. Menu that goes for miles you need to check this place out.

If 10 stars were available, it would get 11. This was an amazing poutine experience. All of the servings were plenteous and more than filling. For most people, sharing one order would more than satisfy. Fries were fresh and cooked to perfection. All of the toppings had excellent flavor and there was no shortage. Even though it was served from a food trailer with outdoor seating, it is a permanent arrangement with nice bathroom facilities. Check out the pics of the menu and our food. Poutines: Carnivore, Spicy Smokey Jerk, Pickled Pig. The Xtreme burger was excellent. This is an out of the way place to go, but if you are taking the ferry, it would be a great stop before or after, depending on your direction.

A great stop to pick up some excellent poutine and have a sampler flight from Manitoulin Brewery. Make sure to bring either cash or debit for your purchase.
