Sawmill Structures

After doing our research, we decided to purchase 3 kits from Sawmill Structures and were very happy with the excellent value and service! The bunkies were quick and easy to build, only taking us a day and a half, and the assembled product looks very impressive. Chris assisted us and was friendly and very responsive throughout the entire experience. We love our superior quality bunkies and highly recommend Sawmill Structures.

We purchased two SD with Loft bunkies this year and absolutely love them. One owner, Chris, was great to work with while we completed our research and chose Sawmill Structures. Mark dropped off two pallets at our tree farm in April and navigated his skid steer through our treed property with ease. Sergey and his building crew showed up one morning in May to start building the bunkies, and by the end of the day, had two beautiful and very solid structures built. We camped in them the next night and repeated that activity with friends and family right to the end of October. As owners of a Christmas Tree Farm, we used one bunkie as an office and the other as a showroom during November and December. All of our customers loved them and we loved showing them off. I could have been the best representative for Sawmill Structures because I encouraged many customers to check their website to view the many products. Thank you Sawmill Structures. We are off to show them to friends from British Columbia and Bahamas later today.

What a fantastic experience to deal with the gang at Sawmill Structures from start to finish! They were friendly, knowledgeable and so ready to work with me to select the structure that best suited my needs. They answered my questions quickly even when super busy. I chose their Build a Bunkie in a Day" service and they did just that! It was amazing to watch an empty patch on the ground evolve over 12 hours into a beautiful structure both inside and out! The smell of the European Pine is still intoxicating! I feel their pricing was also very reasonable too! Their models all come finished on the inside so once it is assembled there is no need to think about finishing the interior it is done!! Their follow-up service was just excellent and met my expectations and more. It is not every day I get to have such value for my money and satisfaction with service and product. Sawmill Structures is the kind of company you want to do business with again and I will be doing so!"

After a lot of Research into finding the perfect Bunkie company to work with we selected sawmill structures. We love the fact that there a Canadian-based company and I can’t rave enough about the quality of service we had when dealing with them and deliberating over which Bunkie would serve us best forThe Beauty Barn Spa project. The customer service we had dealing with Chris and the sawmill structure team was top notch.Not once did we feel any pressure to buy and They were so helpful from start to finish on this project. Even after the build it was nice to see there interest in seeing the project come to life. When we received the bunkie we had our team of 3 guys ready to go and they completed the build in a one day 8hr build. We followed the easy to use instructions that came with the kit and were happy with our final result. From one small business owner to another I thank you for your great level of customer service.

We bought the Hillcrest Single door bunkie with loft. It was delivered right to our cottage property which is not an easy task. It took us 2 days to build the bunkie, including the roof materials and deck. We could have had the bunkie built in one day but we didn’t rush it. We are really happy with how great it looks and how well it is designed. It was nice doing business with owner Chris Hillert who was quick to answer texts with our questions.

All I can say, is the quality of the entire packagewas outstanding, and we could not be happier.Dealing with Chris and his entire team was a realpleasure. Amazing product and sales support. My wife and I built the Hillcrest Loft Single Door ourselves in about 3 afternoons. The wood was close to perfect ... dry, smooth, clean and straight. I only had a couple boards with a slight warp that needed some small coaxing into place. Not a single piece of wood was deemed unusable. Chris was very responsive and supportive for the questions that I did have.The only minor suggestions for improvement would be: 1) the assembly instructions (I'd give them 9 out of 10, but they could be clearer. I inserted the windows and doors during assembly and left them there as I couldn't figure out where the small connector front wall pieces should go without the windows and doors in place. 2) it would be nice if every piece of wood was numbered. You can eventually figure it out, but the sheer number of pieces at the beginning of the project is overwhelming. A lot of extra trim is included which is good, but it is not labeled.I would buy this product again without hesitation. Great product paired with great personable service. Keep up the good work Chris & Melanie.Additional tweak: I shortened the loft railing guards to 15 inches tall, and screwed spare trim piece #9 (tall side up) on the floor of the loft near the overhang edge, creating a channel for the railing guards to slide back & forth, or to easily remove them when making the bed in the loft.

I’m not sure how all these customers are getting in touch with the company. I called and asked about getting a kit by the end of June. I was told that there was 1 that could be manufactured in time. It was slightly more expensive than the one we were going to purchase, but we went ahead and put the deposit down to order. Now we are at the week it is supposed to be delivered and we hadn’t heard from anyone. When we finally got an email back we were told the original $1770 delivery fee was now $3400 and we would have to arrange to have a forklift on-site. That was 2 days ago. No further response to our email questioning this and no response to voicemails (because we cannot get a live person on either the sales or logistics line). At this point we are now in a bind with a place to live next month while we finish a build and we are out almost 10k deposit with no cabin.Edited: they did finally contact us and since then we have had consistent communication. We were able to find a business that would use their forklift to offload the kit onto our trailer, and sawmill arranged delivery to that business at the originally quoted price. In the end, it cost us an extra $120 and half a day of our own transport. This was acceptable to us. Had we experienced this service from the beginning I would have rated the experience much higher.

What an amazing experience working with Chris, Serg and team! They worked with my tight schedule and completed the job beyond expectations! I have been using the bunkie all summer and just love it- it’s so nice and warm when it’s cold outside, we’ve been in it through a few summer storms and felt very comfortable and protected. We hooked up electricity very easily and it’s quite spacious for its footprint! The loft is big enough to fit 2 XL Disco-Beds with space to spare! It’s just perfect - I would highly recommend going with Sawmill structures- they won’t disappoint!

My Hillcrest Loft Double Door Sawmill Bunkie is amazing! Sawmill's excellent customer service and installation crew are fantastic! The construction is beautiful and the materials used are top notch. It has natural light on four sides and double doors that open wide making it feel very spacious. The queen bed and extra storage space in the loft is wonderful too. I stained mine and had their suggested roofing installed ensuring my bunkie will have a protected and very long life.I highly recommend this and all Sawmill Structures products.Thank you guys!
