Went there this afternoon to drop of a stray Mama cat and her 2 kittens that we found in our backyard. Originally asked for humane society but they just closed and the lady asked us to call animal services. No problem, I got ahold of a lady and said she'd have someone come out in a few minutes. Few minutes pass and a heavier set man pops his head out and then walks back in. I guessed it wasn't for me. About 10 minutes later he comes back out and yells at me meanly across the parking lot if I had the cats. I didn't fully hear him so I responded what

There are not enough stars in the universe for the people who work there. Sincere and compassionate.

Dog barking complaints go through them now. The city needs to retake over. Their system is annoying and their ineffective. Had to call multiple times before someone picked up. Sometimes it would send me to voicemail, sometimes I would follow the prompts it wouldn't lead anywhere (the recorded message would restart). After getting through someone, they told me I had to keep a log for 2 weeks of the barking dog before anything can be done... On top of this, I have to print off their log form"

While the people are more than willing to accept the animal you drop off don't expect a smile.I tried to be nice and talkative but the only individual who would speak with me was the male emplyee who I originally spoke with on the phone. The two female employees scowled at me from the back.Later in the week I had to try repeatedly to see if I could gather any information regarding the dog I dropped off. First, I was rudely transferred twice to where no one answered the phone. Then I called two more times and eventually just left a message. When I received a return call I was rudely told that I had signed an agreement saying that I could not be released any information regarding the dog. I didn't ask for owner information. I didn't even specifically inquire as to the dog's status although I know when I dropped her off she was in heat. All I asked was whether or not it was possible to know if she was there. That's it. Nothing complicated. Just let me know if the dog had been left in your care past the 4 days given for an owner to retrieve her. She is, without a doubt, adoptable. I'm not asking to know about temperment testing because I spent several hours with the dog and she was very well behaved and partially trained.I understand that sometimes there are indivuals who drop off animals and call frequently regarding their status. I'm not one of those people. I understand that releasing too much information, especially regarding owners, may be a privacy issue. I wasn't asking that. All I asked was Can you please tell me if she's still in a kennel in your facility?" . That's it. I don't need someone to be rude on the other end of the phone. I didn't give anyone attitude so don't give me any.For an organization that asks you to donate things like office supplies and toilet paper along with your donations for the animals I'm disgusted. I ALWAYS donate to the pound and the Humane Society and now I wonder where those funds actually go. Don't be rude to those who support your organization and look at restructuring the contract that people sign when they drop off an animal. There's nothing wrong with dispensing information regarding an animals status over the phone and actually increases it's chances of being adopted. There IS however something wrong with being openly rude to those dropping off animals and calling about their status and then expecting donations for your personal use."

Very disappointed called multiple times trying to get through about a baby racoon that was sick and they didn’t respond. It appears that they either don’t have staff answering 24/7 as they portray on their webpage or they don’t have any empathy for animals anymore.

Absolutely no help whatsoever. I had called recently about a sick nuisance raccoon in my neighborhood. My call was returned, only to tell me that the raccoon is not sick. I am honestly surprised that me seeing the raccoon and describing the state it was in you can clearly tell it's sick, that the employee on the other end of the phone call can know the health of the animal, without every seeing the animal. I understand that they are supposed to so called experts" but there is no way that she could possibly no more about this animal without coming to look at it. I am not looking for a solution right away

I just contacted Animal Services regarding a wild fox roaming around my neighbourhood where there are a lot of pets and children. I was advised that they don’t handle wild animals. That’s right they come if there is an injured animal but peoples safety forget it. You should change the name to “Animal Services for domestic animals only. You deal with the wild animals that could harm your loved ones”

I don't usually write reviews, but I thought really unfair this place to have just 3.8 stars.I had an injured bird in my backyard today, so I gave them a call and they sent an officer to pick the bird up within an hour. The officer was really nice and polite, explained to me what the bird probably had and what was going to happen to it. I had a great experience, thank you!
