We made reservation, so looking forward to try the food, but unfortunate that we didn't . We did not enjoy the downstairs atmosphere. Table to table was kinda tight, and we didn't like the red light. We asked to sit upstairs as we were attracted by the decor that we saw on social media. They didn't let us as the staffs said it was closed. We didn't understand why they only let one table seated on the 2nd level, but was so crowded downstairs. So we decided to leave the restaurant. We were disappointed not be able to dine in this restaurant and try the menu

Service was great. We ordered oysters (yum!), pan seared foie gras (on the small side but it was an app), duck breast (moist, and with the butternut squash - yum!) and steak (cooked just the way we like it - rare). Everything was delicious! We enjoyed our experience.

It my first time here. And I got a very good experience in Terre Rouge Craft Kitchen First of all, the snails in the starter are delicious, and then the duck breast with pumpkin, which I love. Duck breast with pumpkin sauce is really the perfect flavor. It's not sour, it's not sweet and it's a perfect blend of duck flavours. Finally, there's my favorite spaghetti with cuttlefish sauce, with the lobster tail wrapped in a thick creamy taste in your mouth, which makes your taste buds feel full. The other thing is that the environment is very nice, there are not many people in the restaurant when I go. But the service attitude was great, the waiter kept asking how the food tasted and kept adding water. Overall it was a very good experience

A very cozy French restaurant in downtown Markham. The decor is stunning! I had bone marrow for the 1st time ever and it was delicious—I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t before. The Steak au Poivre and the Bistro Salad were also very well done. I would definitely come back here for a special occasion.

Immediately upon walking through the door you have a choice of being seated on the lower level with a view of the open kitchen, or the upper level with the bar. There is also a patio on the second floor with quite a sizeable space. The decor is relatively minimalistic with not too much going on and it feels like a very modern take on a French restaurant with hints of a verdant touch. In terms of food I ordered the charcuterie board to start, bone marrow and escargot. The Charcuterie board had plenty of salted meats, cheeses and pickles. There was an assortments or preserved meats, perhaps 3 total kinds and also 3 different kinds of cheese including blue and cheddar. There was pickled cauliflower, olives and gherkins but a downside was that it wasn't explained by the waiter.Bone marrow was delicious and very traditional. Baked with some breadcrumbs on top and served with bread. Nothing wrong about it and it was cooked well. The escargots were well cooked but very buttery as one would expect. Many of these appetizers are served with bread of some kind and that's something that you may have to consider while ordering. The mains we ordered were the Bouillabaisse and the Duck Breast. The Bouillabaisse was nice and fresh with shrimp, mussels, calamari and scallops. Everything aside from the small scallops were extremely fresh though there was chunks of overcooked celery in it. All in all it was lacking a sort of punch, acidity and colour that one would expect from a saffron broth. As for the Duck Breast it was served perfectly cooked with a nice butternut puree. The duck could have used a little more seasoning or brining as it was a little bland on its own but with the orange reduction it has plenty flavour. The puree was nice and smooth but could have used a slight touch more butter to soften the acidity of the butternut and to make it just that bit better. There is a drink menu full of unique and interesting beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I cannot speak to their quality myself but the guests I ate with informed me that they were quite good. The service from the waiter was quite good and he was attentive and kind. All in all quite a good meal though the food could be improved with just a touch more.

Disappointing. We expected more from a scratch kitchen. We had a couple of cocktails, Lobster Bisque, NY Strip steaks and fries. The Bisque was lacking in flavor but did have lobster bits. The fries were frozen which was surprising from a scratch kitchen. The steaks were cooked correctly and of decent quality. The cocktails were hit and miss. My wife said the Negroni was good. My Old Fashioned was sub par.Overall the food was good but way overpriced for the quality we received. Definitely a miss from a scratch kitchen.

Came on a Sunday night and we loved it. The ambiance was very nice, the food was delicious. Service was okay but we sat upstairs where there were two big parties so it's understandable. We got the charceuterie board and seafood chowder to share, both were really delicious. For the mains, I got the duck which was so good. I wish I could've eaten more but got pretty full from the appetizers. My partner got the lamb rack and since it was his first time he didn't know what to expect but he enjoyed it and it wasn't as gamey as he thought it would be. Would definitely go again

Quite an underwhelming experience.I had trouble believing this is a French restaurant when the dishes look and taste like the Keg (except Keg serves better steak and has better presentations).Lobster bisque is probably the best dish on the menu. The steak isn't great at all.Dessert...you can just skip it.
