White Rock Farmers' Market

Busy, but super pricey. Not doing enough to feed the community. They do have certain exhibitors accepting vouchers, but the working poor and fixed income folks it is simply out of reach. Produce 3X price of produce stores, free range eggs $4 a dozen more than retail stores. The note I received from the organizer doesn't wash, we have greed going on, perhaps the rent is outrageous.

Been going to the market every Sunday for the last part of summer. Now visiting the winter market. Great selection of food and locally made products.

Excellent great French bakery yummy cheese and fresh veggies

If you have to spare, a good site to visit.The food truck selling samosa is delicious.

A busy market with lots of great local businesses to try out. Definitely consider bringing cash! The prices are steep but it's always worth it to support local. It's also great that the road was closed and free parking was available. I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Not too large but large enough to appreciate all the hard work each vendor puts into their product/produce.

Love this Farmer’s Market!It was our first time here and we were thoroughly impressed by how many vendors there are, how the outdoor space was utilized, and the variety of vendors and type of goods being sold.It definitely gets busy, so be prepared for this.Many people had leashes dogs - don’t really recommend this. I even heard one woman say that it wasn’t ideal that she had her dog along with her and her kids because it was hard to navigate.The vendors were very friendly and enthusiastic.Lots of free parking available in the area.I was surprised however that there wasn’t really any fresh produce - this is what I associate Farmer’s Markets with most and am used to from living in Vancouver and Toronto. There were strawberries, mushrooms, micro greens, lettuce, green onions, spring garlic and rhubarb, but that’s about it. And I didn’t see anyone selling meat other than Stapleton sausages, but you can get those in the grocery store. I love to be able to do grocery shopping at a Farmer’s Market and get from local, small farmers and producers.All in all, I would say this is more a ‘Market’ than a ‘Farmer’s Market’, but it is definitely worth a visit or two.Keep your eyes peeled Coconama hand made truffles - she does gluten free and dairy free/vegan options, Marie’s Guilt Free Bakery - also has gluten free and vegan options, and Nina’s Pierogi’s - gluten free + vegan options as well. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!

I live in the area and somehow have never attended this market. That was a mistake! It’s actually a big market, with live music, food trucks and many, many vendors.They do sell out of items quick. I thought I could walk around a couple of times before deciding on what to buy and in that time many things were already gone. Will be back many times! Everything I bought was very tasty.

The market located on Russel avenue in white rock is open on Sundays from mid April to mid October.It starts at 10am to 2pm rain or shine.At the market you will find fresh produce, baked goods, hand made crafts, apothecary, spices and many other things. Live performances also take place during the market hours.There is ample parking located around the venue and a portion of Russel avenue is blocked off just for the market as it is only foot traffic.The market does get busy and some of the more popular stands will have line ups. Definitely a fun way to spend a Sunday morning.Check it out, never know what you will find here.
