I think it’s all about money. After the evaluation, they dropped us like hot potatoes. I think Perl is nice but is also clicky and somewhat judgemental. I had asked even to join the social group for kids but she refused on grounds that my kid wasnt ready. How will they be ready if they are kept away from practicing with the group?? It’s not like he wasnt talking. Very Clicky place.

The team at Blocks Speech and Language Clinic is professional, helpful and listened to the needs of our family. They were able to quickly book an assessment, produce a report and implement a therapy plan with my twins.The twins have made significant progress with their help. After every session, a report is made (which is way more than I could ever ask for!)The team was also helpful with schedules, which I greatly appreciate, as we are two full-time working parents.

It is an honor to write a testimony about Perl Greenfeld’s speech therapy program at Blocks. We started with the Blocks speech program in 2017 on the recommendation of the Mackay Centre School of the English Montreal School Board. Our son lost services from Mackay as he entered later grades, and we required private therapy for his expressive speech needs and verbal social skills. We were pleasantly surprised by the English environment for speech therapy because we had received therapy for several other private groups in the Westmount area.Right at the start, I envisioned private lessons. However, the group sessions were ideal for our child. He had the opportunity to understand regular speaking rules in public and interact with children of his age group outside the setting. Despite the Covid period and restrictions, such as shifting to online sessions, the children continued to benefit from the learning experience. Speech therapy is an intricate part of our child’s learning team and helps him understand the significance of engaging in a meaningful conversation.The organization team and secretary support have been phenomenal, with complete assurance that the email with the Zoom link is sent for the sessions in a timely manner. Even when we are out of town, our child still attends his sessions. His ability to clarify concepts and ask meaningful questions about topics has grown over the years. All the games suggested by the therapist have been an enjoyable and engaging addition to our family game nights. We have also incorporated the social and verbal concepts discussed into our daily speech. These concepts have helped him meet the psychosocial education requirements set forth within the school setting.We plan to continue with Blocks without reservation until our son has completed his high school requirements. We are truly grateful and highly value the advice and understanding provided by the therapy program.

I strongly and highly recommend Blocks speech and language clinic!! They have amazing staff that truly care about your child’s progress and making them feel at ease. Professional service and very comfortable environment for my kids. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I live approximately an hour away and have been to other places for speech therapy and there is no comparison!! Thank you for everything that you all do!
