Have dropped my membership after 17 years due to incompetent and unhelpful staff, specifically the Registries department. Always felt the membership was for the most part a waste of money. When needed, the roadside assistance was mediocre. They do not even have a live operator when you call in. The insurance department and their home / auto policies are a ripoff and we quit using that service a long time ago. It is incredible how much better the local insurance broker we now use is. We have saved tons of money compared to AMA. A lot of better options for each individual service that AMA provides - shop around, do your research.

Extremely disappointed with AMA (13th Ave).These were the road conditions during the blizzard in Medicine Hat for an advanced Class 5 driving test today. Despite the terrible road conditions, the road test client paid for and took the test - not once given the suggestion or possibility of rescheduling due to poor weather.After being told they drove perfectly" in the storm

Just the average AMA but Stephanie was pleasant as can be and very patient despite what I could tell was a ridiculous inconsistent form for reimbursement of funds spent on Unlock Service from a secondary Tow Truck company.Thank you Stephanie and staff.Maps Maps Maps...thanks for those too.

I had my advance driving test today with connie and the experience was fantastic. Despite being an experienced driver over 12 years abroad, I was a bit nervous but Connie is so calm and polite which made me very comfortable to do the test. I did everything she told me and I passed the test with 30 points.Furthermore, I lost the car registration and the staff helped me to get a duplicate quickly before my road test. Cheers!

Overpriced, and the services promised (roadside assistance) are a joke. You can do much better if you shop around. Do yourself a favor and avoid ama.

I’ve been with AMA for over 8 years now and have always received excellent service. However the service I received from the receptionist wasn’t so great as she told me that they weren’t offering a driving license service that I walked in for...which is not true. The staff member that actually helped was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and walked me through the entire service.Edit...AMA staff got back to me after posting the review and as result, my previous 3 star rating wasn’t fair in my opinion so I’m issuing 5 stars. Thanks for the great service AMA!
