Ride On Bike Shop
Thanks to Ride-On-Again, my bestie and I had a GREAT TOURISTY DAY!! Bought a bike on Sunday, the main guy in the shop was super helpful in getting us the right size and style within our budget. They even had staff on hand to safety the bike before we took it out. I would definitely choose this place first the next time I am buying or even selling a used bike.

This is an awesome bike shop. The prices are super reasonable, and the service is great. Bought a bike there a few days ago and a bike rack and lock and got discounts on everything. If you want to go to a small bike shop, with incredible service, and great products, go here.

Cozy bike shop, friendly and helpful staff. Happy to help customize bike with new handlebars and seat.Good selection of locks, bike baskets, handle bar grips and bells. They also have a bike mechanic on the floor .FREE air so no need to gas stations that charge for air

I experienced excellent service at your shop today. Thank you for taking the time to track down a part for my son’s Axiom bike rack, meaning I can carry on using the existing rack. This has saved me the $90 it would have cost to replace the rack as well as not having to dump an otherwise perfectly good rack in the landfill. I appreciate the patience and helpfulness of the two gentlemen working in your service area.

Ride On Bike Shop
First time in this shop looking to purchase two bikes, however after abrupt customer service after purchasing one bike and several accessories, looked at other reviews on this business, and it appears that there are many others who experienced the same customer service. As soon as I had paid for the product there was an immediate and abrupt attitude change with no regard to answer basic questions regarding dynamics to ensure the safety of the bike for a young child brand new to gear shifting. It was too much trouble to lower the seat so that the child was not wobbling on her tip toes to touch the ground when sitting on the bike. This is because they were eager to make other sales and it would take a minute of their time to lower the seat. Am grateful for the abundance of friendly bike shops and services in Kits and will gladly support other businesses that operate with values and ethics, and do not demean their customers. They sold me a 15 year old kids bike that was donated to them for free that same day, and my bill upon leaving was almost 200$! They did 10 mins of servicing on the donated bike. When I asked basic questions about the breaks and the gears, as the bike was 15 years old, they were very rude in their responses. I strongly believe in supporting local business, but have never experienced such rude and condescending service in a bike shop, especially from the owner herself. Gladly, I found my second bike with great help and customer service from Cap's Bicycles and The Bike Doctor, just down on Broadway from Ride On!Both of these businesses informed me that my child should be on a 24inch bike. The donated bike Ride On sold me was a 20 inch bike, knowing that it was too small for my child they sold it to me anyways with no mention that it’s the wrong size for her! Not cool and not safe! For anyone who is looking to donate kids bikes, please consider The Bike Kitchen which is a bike shop that operates on UBC Campus. They service and refurbish donated kids bikes for free and turn around and give them to kids that need them by donation....not for 200$ for a 15 year old kids bike that was donated for free! The program is called the Kids Bike Library run by the bike shop The Bike Kitchen with kind and caring customer service. And please Ride On - do better! Do not sell a child a bike that is too small for them without even mentioning this - poor business practice and all around not cool!

I took my bike to a fancy shop on 10th. They broke my rear axle trying to straighten it. Told me it would cost $60 and 3 weeks to order the niche part from a manufacturer and tried to up sell me a new wheel.Disgruntled, I took my broken axle home. After giving Ride On a call, Don said they don’t carry parts but he has a hobby related to broken bikes, if I got there in the next 20 mins he would take a look. After rushing to the shop I asked for Don, a voice from the back shouted that he would be down soon. I told my story to a straight faced Don. He said it wasn’t a niche part, just old, any Japanese axle from the era would do. This guy knows his stuff. He disappeared to the back, leaving me to admire the humility of the shop and the other staff. After listening into a conversation on inflation in the bike market for 10 mins Don reappeared with a wheel and axle in hand. Don handed me the wheel while spouting advice on how to proceed with my repair. He then disappeared with no mention of compensation. The busy but friendly mechanic in the shop mentioned some other good spots that do reasonably priced repairs and sold me some bearing grease. I am now in my garage YouTube’ing the fix with the confidence don installed in me.I received excellent service and a quality experience. Ride on Don.

April and the team at Ride On (W Broadway) were incredibly helpful with my first new bike purchase. Even though I had a slight issue with my first bike, when I went in the next day they were very friendly and helpful in sorting out a better choice. Would definitely recommend coming here, as they are super friendly and unpretentious, which was greatly appreciated as someone who was just buying their first new bike and had little knowledge of what to look for.

Had a truly awful experience in this bike shop. I dropped by with my bike for a very minor gear adjustment and was basically refused to even be heard by the staff.I had called ahead previously and I was told on the phone that this would be a minor fix and could be done with relative ease. When I arrived at the shop I wasn't even greeted which is whatever, I could get over that but as I proceeded to explain my issue I was cut off because I didn't buy the bike there so I wasn't even going to be heard let alone accept my business. The staff proceeded to try and hand me a screwdriver and said I could try to fix it myself, refusing to even listen to what I had to say.I can understand that the shop may be busy but the utter disrespect I felt as I left the shop today was outstanding. Find another bike shop on 4th because that's what I was told today.
