Fix It Again Sam

Excellent service and amazing result. Fix It Again Sam fixed my floor lamp twice (after a mistake on my part) and now it's shining like never before. Was afraid there was nothing to do to save the lamp after the base broke but Fix It Again Sam proved me wrong. I highly recommend Fix It Again Sam for all your lamp needs!

Dropped off a food processor on January 14 and was told he had a backlog but it would be done by mid feb. It’s June and I still haven’t heard back. I’ve called and left multiple messages and have never received a call back.Edit: Sam called me after I posted this and made things right. I would probably use his services again and just be more mindful of setting deadlines.

My husband and I took in a lamp with a burned out dimmer switch, were told it would take 1-2 weeks to fix - which seemed a bit excessive, but we figured we could live without it for a week or two. After 3 weeks I called, was told that they hadn't ordered the part yet. After 5 weeks, I was told that the part was back-ordered because they only deal with one supplier. I offered to go find the part myself and supply it to them, that I just need my lamp fixed. I was told that wasn't necessary, that they would get it sorted out soon. At almost 8 weeks, I went in. Nothing had happened. They told me that it's a logistical issue"... the supplier supposedly only offers the part in bulk

Thank you for taking the time to repair my Breville toaster oven. It now works again perfectly. The door switch you replaced appears to be a common fault. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not offer repair options. I am so grateful that you were able to repair it and keep a good appliance out of the recycling stream.It was well worth the wait.

I took in a Kitchen Aid food processor that suddenly stopped working. Unfortunately, it was not fixable. Bill called me with the update and didn't charge me to look at it. He also electronic recycled my food processor.

Brought in a heavy, 6 light, 43-year-old chandelier that had a number of fried sockets and the remaining ones ready to go. Got a very reasonable estimate in 3 days and it was as good as new (and likely with better than new wiring and sockets) in 2 weeks. If I have another lighting problem, I know where to go!

I have been getting repairs done here for years. Excellent service and reasonably priced. It’s so much better for the environment to fix things rather than disposing of them and buying new. Also, things you buy now aren’t made to last …your older things are made much better!

I had the best customer service experience with the Fix It Again Sam team. I dropped off a standing lamp for a diagnostic. Although it was a European-made rare LED model, they said they would see if it was fixable. Although it wasn't, the experience was tremendous, especially the communication throughout the process. I look forward to returning for other repairs.

Took in a snow blower that wouldn't start on Nov. 4th and was told they'd get back to me withing two weeks.They took my $60 non-refundable deposit and I left. 4 weeks later nothing from them so on Dec. 4th I phoned to find out what was up. They said they'd get back to me in a couple of days as they hadn't looked at it yet. A week later they left a message for me. It took me 4 phone calls and another 5 days to reach them as nobody answered my calls and they apparently don't have an answering machine ... or perhaps they're answering machine is broken and they can't fix it? I was told the carburetor needed to be rebuilt and it would cost $300. (Minus the $60 deposit of course). $300 to rebuild a carburetor? You should be able to rebuild the whole machine for that. I passed and will never go back there.

The team altered three UK lamps to work on the Canadian electrical system. The work was excellent, at an acceptable price. The team were very good at answering queries, and providing updates.
