Elementary School Catholic Saint-Jean-Bosco

My daughter started école Saint Jean Basco in first grade, that is also the year this school opened. My family is an English speaking family who choose to send our kids hear to make them fully bilingual. It was the hardest decision we could have made for their education, but completely worth it.Saint Jean Bosco is amazing, as stated my daughter has been going to this school from 1st grade, and my son stared going from age 2 at the schools daycare on premises. My son had a much easier time of adjusting as he was learning French from day care, my daughter started in SK at the parent school and moved to saint jean bosco for grade 1.The school is turly a community, the teachers kids even go hear, so you meet at other children birthday parties outside of school. Its a place I found that actually cares about their kids, the principal Mr. Alan knows his students, I can guarantee if he is asked a question about any of the children from which ever grade he can tell you something specific about that kid. It's a place that takes the time to know their students, every report card is full of indepth facts about your childs skill set attributes etc.This is my daughter's final year at ESJB, but my son has 4 more to go, I'm happy this school has prepared her for her next phase, but she will turly miss the safety and security kindness of the staff.

I give this school 1 star because i half too if i could give it 0 stars i would.I went to the daycare to pick up my son the people at the daycare have never met me because the mom never put me on the emergency contact list even though i have a family court order stating i have access to daycare and schools for pick up drop offs etc etc.The lady on the phone told me they only speak french which i did not believe from the jump.So i left work early to pick up my son i got to the daycare called them informing then i was outside for pick upThey told me that they wont release him to me only to my father because the mom only gave them permission to release my son to my father and not me even though i had my court order in my hand stating i have access for pick up they didnt even have the courtesy to read the court order.They ended up releasing my son to me they didnt ask me for ID , they didnt let me sign him out when i attempted to speak to them they looked at me like i was nothing , total disrespect and threatened to call the cops on me .As a Father i felt i was discriminated against , for them not to even ackowledge me as the father left a bitter taste in my mouth.They didnt even give me the time of day they didnt even take the time to read the court order talk to me nothing , they prejudged me from the jump.When i got there they spoke english clear as day , even after they told me in the morning that they only speak french i asked to speak to a supervisor and i was denied. I did file a complaint with the head office for daycare , i will be calling the human rights head office first thing Monday morning.Ive never been treated with soo much disrespect in my life these people are not only rude , they are also unprofessional , disrespectful and discriminative towards single fathers who wanna do right for their kids.To not even look at the court order stamped by the judge in the inOntario court of justice, they were soo ignorant that the daycare ignored the Family court order and didnt even take the time to talk to me and get to know me.These are strangers watching my son and for them to treat me the way they did is absoutloutly herendous and i wish no parent would ever get treated like this.If i could could pull my son from the daycare asap i would.I would not want my son around these judgemental, unprofessional , rude , ignorant and careless staff.The also told me that they were gonna call the cops on me.Remember that i am this childs father getting treated like this

This is an excellent school, both my children attend this institution and I am very happy with the professionalism of the staff, the school's leadership team and the values thought to the students. It is a smaller school in a safe and growing community. The school is French only (not immersion) and therefore parents choosing this type of education must be ready to support their children with learning the language. I would definitely recommend this school over other options in the city.
