Went to this store yesterday to get a card for our son-in-law. Walked in the door and went towards the cards. The sales guy came up to me and said we ask our customers to sanitize their hands - keep in mind that I am already wearing a mask as required by Ontario. I said I can’t use sanitizers because I am allergic to them (I have contact dermatitis and break out in rashes). His coworker sales woman aggressively comes up to me and says well you have to sanitize your hands. I repeated myself. Then the she said you can wear gloves - do you have gloves. I said no I don’t. So they said we have some here. So they gave them to me. Even though I am also allergic to latex I was willing to wear them just to get what I needed and get out. When I went to put the gloves on I couldn’t even get them on - they didn’t fit. So with every intention of using the gloves to pick up the cards I continued on my way. I was looking at the cards - I didn’t even touch them - and the sales woman aggressively came to the back where I was and said you have to wear the gloves if you want to pick up the cards - so she was watching me to make sure I put the gloves on. I said I can’t get the gloves on because they’re too small. So she said well if you want to look at any of the cards I will pick them up to show you. So I continued to look with her looking over my shoulder. I finally walked out without buying anything and said this is ridiculous. I went to Walmart to get the card with no problem. Needless to say I won’t be shopping at this store again.

Love this place. Get my linen calendar evey year. Plus a lot of voice books. Grandkids love hearing the stories in our voices! Plus always interesting tree ornaments! Please suport this place

I entered the store at 557 pm Saturday evening with the “closed “ sign posted . I had a couple of minutes and I just wanted to see if they had a 60 th year plaque and the woman at the store didn’t say “hi “or “good evening.”Instead she says” you got two minutes “to which , I replied. “Did you forget what customer service is! “ She apologized profusely and I left.
