Dr. Kerry Howatt

She performed my hysterectomy and was amazing. Wonderful caring bedside manner. Knowledgeable and just outstanding.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Howatt. She was the doctor on call April 24 at Saint John Regional, and I couldn’t be more thankful it was her. She was the most down to earth Doctor I’ve ever met, while I was laying on my side during labour she’d come around the bed and kneel down to my eye level as she spoke to me about the next steps. I had Chorioamnionitis, and my babies heart rate was extremely high and seemed to be staying there. Dr. Howatt knew how much I wanted to deliver naturally and was I was terrified to have a C section. She tried her best to allow me to have a natural birth, but as things got progressively worse it wasn’t what was best for the baby. When she told me I had to go in for a C section, she made me feel so calm about it and I trusted her completely. During the birth via c section she made me feel such at ease. Afterward when I said thank you for everything she did, she hugged me and said “we did it”. I also joked before the birth that I didn’t get one stretch mark my entire pregnancy and now will have a huge incision line, she told me she’d make it the tiniest and prettiest she could, and that she did lol! Every nurse/doctor that looked at it during our hospital stay made a comment on how perfect and small the incision was! If you get Dr. Howatt as your OB, you are in the best hands and you will absolutely love her.
