I love that they are not overly commercial like a lot of other tree farms - just horse drawn wagon rides, fresh air and nature without the gimmicks. All the staff are really friendly and welcoming too and it is nice to be able to support a local, family run business. My son loved the horse drawn wagon ride!

A big selection of different types of trees.MORE INFO: 2016 - The 50th year of Johnston Brothers Christmas Tree Farms will see a change in ownership of the business located south of Kemptville.Brothers and current owners Eric and Pud Johnston, born and raised in Prescott by Arthur and Violet Johnston, will hand over the reins to Pud’s 33 year-old son, Kerry, after the Christmas season.Eric traces his interest in the business back to when the boys were growing up, when their father worked at customs and noticed a large amount of Christmas tree traffic going in and out of the country.

I called them September 2022 about purchasing a sugar maple tree as a memorial for my son. I was told not a problem and to call back the first off March. When I phoned I was told to call back either before 7 am or after 5 pm.I did so...many times....leaving numerous messages and I never once received a call back.Thank God I found a tree from another company.Thank you Johnston tree farms for adding to my stress and grief. I wouldnt even give 1 star but unfortunately negative stars are not an option.Do Not trust this company with anything important!!

Fabulous experience! Wonderful trees ( balsam and fir - no sharp pointy needles!) Horse drawn sled on the weekend - Huge friendly horses. Hot chocolate, very tasty chili, and hot dogs for purchase to eat around the bonfire! Very much the full Christmas tree cutting experience - not too commercial. - just right! Worth the drive!
