A very interesting self guided tour on how to raise salmon to stock runs. It's very fun to see salmon at various ages and stages of growth. Interesting for adults and kids. Especially the mechanism to capture returning salmon and sort them.

This is a hatchery for small Salmons to go back to the wild. The staff here is so knowledgeable and friendly. Do not mix this up with Weaver Creek Spawning Channels because google maps will bring you here. It is 6km further up this hatchery.

Missed the main spawning by a week but still lots of salmon in the streams, its a bit of a drive from Vancouver but well worth the trip. Recommended.

Watched some full sized salmon in the tanks and neighboring stream which was interesting.. but there isn't much else to see here. You can wander around and read the boards, but I found staff more or less stuck to themselves and their jobs. Mind you, it is a 'self guided tour', so you can't expect them to drop their work and run around with people answering questions.

We took part in the assisting of stocking with freshwaters fisheries society of BC. It was amazing to accomodate us to document the fish being transported to a local lake, it was lovely, & everyone was helpful. Really enjoyed the amount of hours we spent.

The hatchery is closed to the public but you can walk outside around the buildings and reach the channel for the fish. It's a nice walking area but not for strollers or wheel chairs.
