Cleve's Source For Sports

On May 22, 2018 at approximately 730 pm my husband and I went to Cleve’s store in New Glasgow. We wanted to buy sneakers for our trip next week. We walked in and the employees grunted hi! My husband and I proceeded to the sneakers. We each tried on numerous pairs. Found the one we each liked. Then the sales rep named Ryan came down to see if we needed a size!!!!!!! I was so mad by this time. Absolutely no assistance our entire time in the store til we found our own sneakers of choice. My husband said you can find the other one he wanted to the pair. He did go grab a box. Throw the other sneaker my husband was trying on into the box and proceeded to the counter so we could pay for our purchase.Well to make matters worse, my husband went to take his new sneakers out of the box a couple of days after we bought them and guess what.... they were both for the left foot!!!! Was he pissed off, oh dear under statement indeed.We feel you have the right to be informed of your employee that truly is an embarrassment to your store and sales. My husband asked me to take the two left sneakers back to get the correct sneaker. I was so angry with the service I had to say no as I knew if the gent was working again today I would not be so nice.My husband took them back with not a problem getting the correct pair but the sales person said after my husband told them the problem... let me guess, Ryan waited on you.I guess that says a lot .I hope this issue is addressed as not to have further issues with your other patrons.Thank you for listeningFelicia Kindervater

Great service every time I come here. Would reccommend this store to anyone. Super friendly staff

Service can be, at times, non-exiatant with staff on their phones or oblivious to the fact that there are customers present. Most sales on shoes are essentially what they cannot get rid of (E.G. 2-5 year old shoes). The only redeeming factor of this business is their ability to order bulk team supplies and equipment at lower than expected market prices.

Went in for full gear for my 11 year old son who grew out of pretty much everything! Blake was so helpful and went above and beyond to help us have everything fit properly and put together correctly. Very grateful to have this young man spend 3 hours assisting us. We are now hockey ready again!

I went into your location on June 18th at around 5:30,with my husband, to take advantage of the $2.00 sale. I have a very hard time buying sneakers and in the past your store always pulled through. I found a pair of Sketchers that I really liked. I always look at the bottom and noticed it looked a little scuffed up. When I turned over the other shoe it had gravel in the grips and gum. When I looked in the shoe you could visibly see that it was dirty. I told the young man that was working and he just blew it off. I was very disappointed and left without buying anything.

I used to use this store to get all of my sport equipment and athletic clothing. The last few years this store has gone downhill but this year is even worse. I’ve been in twice in the last week to get items and the first time I was the only customer but had to search for an employee so I could buy an item. Today there were 4 other customers that I could see. There was one employee waiting on a customer for shoes another was sharpening skates. There were 2 people waiting to pay. Both employees looked up and saw them at the cash but ignored them. I waited about 5 minutes and neither employee made an attempt to go to the cash or communicate. I left my items behind and went to sportchek. While at sportchek I saw two of the other customers from Cleve’s arrive. This Cleve’s is poorly managed and it’s not worth your trouble or time.

Tanner went above and beyond to help with my purchases today. Fitted my skates, sharpened them and made sure I had everything I need. His coworker was very kind as well. And if you see this Tanner, I only fell once lol. Thanks for the helmet lol

my son and I were looking over his Goalie gear and I noticed that the runner on one of his skates was broken. We bought these skates ate the end of last season he wore them in total of 6 times twice ate end of Goalie camp last year and a 4 day camp this year. We took them back to Cleves and the Assistant Mananger (cant remember his name) helped us he did everything he could to make sure we walked out with new skates for this season. what a great kid!!! customer service was the best I have seen in Pictou County.
