I am thoroughly impressed by the team at The Gardens Richmond. I have moved a few times in the city, but this was by far the easiest move to date and the most homely rental i have found within Lower Mainland. Mr. Raphael was quick and diligent from the first showing to handing me the keys. This high quality of service has matched by the great indoor facilities and stores nearby and the nearness to work. I am grateful to be living in a well managed building.

I've lived here for almost two years and this is an absolutely great place to live in Richmond! The building manager is very polite and attentive. The apartments are very spacious, modern and equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and an in-suite washer and dryer which is so convenient. Each apartment has a spacious balcony too and there is a gym with a ping pong table. The area has a ton of amenities with several restaurants - high end to take-out, grocery stores, dental, optical, pharmacy and other conveniences just across the street. Transportation is also near by with several bus options just downstairs, not even a block away. There is also a condo park which is well kept and maintained. It's peaceful, convenient place to live that feels like home.

The suite we have rented is quite small, (Didn't get to see it before signing the lease as the construction wasn't done at that time, big mistake) considering it is suppose to be 700 sq feet or so, we were also told the bedroom would accommodate a decent size bed which it does not, you basically have room for a small bed and nothing else, the bathroom is very tiny, and the property manager not sure of her name but is very unfriendly, keep this in mind when choosing to rent here, not much we can do now as we signed a one year lease, there is a nice gym there however, but if you are looking for decent size accommodations I would look else where. One last thing the parking stalls that they want you to pay $50/mth are ridiculously small, so if you are not driving a Honda Fit or Toyota Echo you will have a very difficult time getting into your parking spot.***UPDATE: I would like to add an update to this review, please note if you are thinking about renting from this building, I would strongly consider other options as the buildings mailboxes have been broken into 3 times in the last month and a bit, totally unacceptable, as lots of confidential info can be stolen, if I wasn't locked into a lease I would have already given my notice, no real solution has been made other than reinforcing the locks, how about maybe installing a camera right over the mail area or hiring a night security guard they only make minimum wage***I am updating my review to give this rental property zero stars, was being generous with the 1 star rating, our mailboxes are still not fixed, 3rd time this garbage place has had their mailboxes broken into, and all they do is fix the lock on the mailbox, don't come up with no solution how to prevent this in the future, f**king pathetic, and then when I made an inquiry to the Peterson Group who owns this building, the f**king b**ch who responded to the email, comes with the attitude saying we have 80 buildings you need to be more precise with your inquiry, how about you have some respect for the tenants paying the rent of this building and apologize, instead of yapping your mouth because you know you wouldn't say that to my face, because without paying tenants you would be out of a job, I will make sure to post everywhere on this damn internet to let people know this building sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Final note on this building, moved out of this horrible place, management is a joke especially that nasty looking woman Vira, total b**tch, Joseph the building manager is useless not sure where they found him, and to top it off if you are moving out they will try to screw you around with your damage deposit, if you plan on putting up any pictures or anything that a normal person would put on the wall, they will bill you for each and every hole, even if you take the time to cover them up with the proper measures, clearly a money grab as I'm sure they will do nothing in place of what we did to fix those small holes, place is built very cheap and be prepared for a bedroom the size you would provide for your infant, but what do you expect from the PETERSON GROUP, they are pathetic and should be shut down!!!!!!!!!!!

As long as you contact management about the property as a whole regarding issues and cleanliness, you’ll receive confirmation. However, when it comes to your rights as a tenant and quiet enjoyment of your space, you may see notices put up for general reading, but you won’t hear a word, not even from head office. Many complaints have been swept under the rug, so pretty sure they operate under the assumption of “ignore until problem goes away or tenant moves out”. Poor communication and problem solving. Take all my money but don’t follow through with a tenant’s rights.

There are 5 apartment blocks in the area/ Complex, some are 2 bedroom with an open plan kitchen sitting and dining. Master bedroom is ensuite and there's a common washroom. It's good for a couple or a small family. Not much storage space, so need to have minimal things and also furniture needs to be small so u can have some space. There is a small balcony, so it's nice to get some fresh air. There isn't a central heating/ cooling system, the apartments have base board heaters and u have to install your own a/c. U have 2 parking in the basement. Ironwood mall is just across the road/intersection on steveston, so walking distance. Anytime fitness is here a 24hour gym so that's good, there's jello land, a play area for the kids under 7 yrs, there's a workbc too and ert cosmetic clinic, bubble tea place called zenQ, Richmond community centre.

I don't normally write reviews, but I'll make this an exemption because I am extremely pleased with excellent maintenance and tidiness of our building owing to the hardworking building manager Joseph and his wife Divinia. Joseph acts promptly on requests like repairs etc. He is polite and very accommodating.

My spouse and myself recently left the Camellia residence after 5 years living there as we purchased our own condo, and if it wasn't the case we would be still living there. Our experience throughout the years has been so pleasant and comfortable. We started in a studio unit and later upgraded to a 1 bed+den one and both condos were equipped with everything needed to feel ourselves at home. The building management is another big positive: Joseph and his wife Divinia are an absolute pleasure to talk to and have our questions answered or needs accommodated. Thanks to them, the building is always clean, tidy and welcoming. Finally, the proximity to the Ironwood Plaza is so convenient. We are very happy we've spent these 5 years in the Camellia residence and not in another building/area. We highly recommend Camellia to any person/family looking for a safe and pleasant environment to live in.

Terrible management-cheap finishing. The building is new but falling apart. Everything is broken or not working. Very overpriced. Constant noise from the construction next door. Joseph the so called building manager never works, you can never find him in his office and he never answers his phone. Laziest man alive. I guess Peterson Group will hire anyone ... no standards. If you want a job where you doesn't have to work ever apply for a building manager position at Peterson.
