No one was around to check our tickets so we just walked into our sceening which wasn't clearly posted but luckily our online ticket told us which room. Water fountain doesn't work. Bathroom men's sink was stuck running. I think the sound in the previews was off but was fine come the movie. Snacks were expensive, medium popcorn and Pringles was 19$ But it's a clean place and we got what we paid for, a movie.

This theatre hasn't had a renovation since I was a kid. I'm 38.How they can still charge what they do for that shell of its former self is beyond me??We are currently driving to Victoria to see the new Mario movie, worth it for the experience!!Landmark Nanaimo is dirty, cold, uncomfortable seats and just overall a rip off to everyone. Do better.

After not being able to enjoy a movie in quite some time thanks to stupid Covid it was nice to finally get out. We went and saw the new James Bond movie, we were greeted at the door by a Covid vaccination checker, the theater was not overrun at all, the popcorn was fresh, the drinks were good, there was a games room and plenty of bathrooms. Overall it was a good experience minus the ads that ran repeatedly before the movie.

Older theater, good sound big screens, normal old seats. The seats are decent for bigger kids and adults but they kept trying to eat my toddlers!

While the movie itself was good, the theater experience wasn't up to par. The theater we were in was pretty dirty and a number of the seats were completely broken. The movie also started late and we spent a good 10 minutes staring at a black screen. And then to make things worse, when the movie did start, it was the wrong one! So when the correct movie finally started it was the better part of 20 minutes late. Once the movie finished the house lights didn't come back on and we had to find our way out with the flashlight on our phone. I felt bad for the employee trying to clean up in the pitch black too. Also the dialog in the movie was pretty hard to hear in many scenes, so I'm guessing something wasn't balanced properly in the projection booth. Just because it's loud, doesn't mean you can hear everything the characters are saying. And finally the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken and they just stuck a regular bottle of soap in there. It didn't look great. All in all not the best experience, but it was the only theater playing this movie that wasn't in Victoria. Will probably go to the Cineplex theater next time as it's a better experience.

This is a decent size theatre, but it’s dated now. Reserved seats are available, but the seats are not the power recliners like the Landmark Cinemas in lower mainland. There’s a small arcade area for kids to spend some time and the theatre is connected right into the mall, which is convenient. An update of the interior and seats will certainly be welcomed.

Clean washrooms, theatre and reception areas. Chairs are comfortable and deep seated with no obstruction views . Bonus, the theatre is well ventilated and offers air conditioning. This is a large movie theater. Eight movie theaters, games room, party room. Serving popcorn candy coffee and soda drinks. The theater is very clean with movies running throughout the day and evening.

Sad to see this place a little run down. Hopefully one day they can get an upgrade.Emergency lights by the screen were on which made it hard to see/watch the first 20 minutes of the previews/movie. Also felt bad for the young staff trying to figure out how to turn them off, but thankfully, they did get it figured out.Movie was good but without a doubt wasn't worth the $60+ for tickets, popcorn and drinks.

Looking for tickets for Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse. I live in Nanaimo, but we're gonna watch it in Duncan cause this theater is the worst place in Nanaimo, let alone Vancouver Island to watch a movie. Try enforcing some rules on a pleasurable viewing experience so the public doesn't have to. Never again with Lamdmark Cinemas. Teenagers were the problem, and staff wouldn't do anything because they assumed the issue Would resolve itself"."

Almost zero staff, no ticket window, expensive food, uncomfortable seats (the armrests are literally painful), audio was tuned with no bass and way too much treble and also too loud so it was painful to listen to and the picture quality was grainy and a bit out of focus. Would have been half the cost to rent at home in 4k and it would have looked and sounded better. Theaters need to step up their game if they want to survive, and I want them to survive.
