I am so happy to have discovered Latin Food Specialties. We had a backyard Spanish themed party. We got a charcuterie tray which was beautifully presented with Serrano ham and Manchego cheese of the highest quality. We had a selection of olives, all of which were tasty. And the special bite of surprise was the pineapple pepper jelly.But the real ohs and ahs were expressed when the paella was presented. I included a picture so you can see how beautiful it was. But this is nothing compared to the flavour. I have always liked paella but this was without question the best I have ever had, including in Spain! Every grain of rice was infused with the most amazing combination of seafood flavours.Besides amazing food the owners were very friendly and accommodating.What I love about this store is that 80% to 90% of their product is sourced in Alberta. Who knew we had so many wonderful Latin food producers here! If you have had empanadas from your local grocery store, trust me, you have not had empanadas.Thank you Latin Food Specialties

Nigerian curry empanada, depicted here, was amazing. Also, the trio of tacos were sublime! Definitely coming back here!!! That green sauce, omg, mind blown.

I was in the neighborhood when I saw that Latin Food Specialties Market & Kitchen was very close by. I had been trying to get to a Latin store for some key ingredients to make Beef Birria Tacos, so I was thrilled I was right down the street in time for opening. The owner was so sweet and helpful! She showed us everything we would need for the recipe and the best substitutes. We got a tour of the incredible items carried that are locally made, and the detailed descriptions of who made the products and where. It was a very lovely personable experience! We will definitely be returning for all of our Latin+ recipe's needs and more.

It’s a new place in calgary to explore latin food and grocery. It’s a hidden shop but you should try their food. Had a quesadilla and it was good. The sauce was delicious and bit spicy. You can ask for your spicy level. Not enough space for dining for a bunch of people. The ambiance was cool and appealing.

Amazing Venezuelan and Latin food! We had the cachapas with beef and cheese, they were delicious and highly recommend! They also carry a huge selection of Latin products. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

A little out of the way but very friendly grocery/coffee shop. Nice coffee and some exotic foods for a lunch break. They have a large kitchen and make great empanadas and tamales, which you can buy frozen and take home for the family. Clean and has easy parking. The grocery section is rather limited as is the seating for the coffee shop but it's worth a visit, especially if you're looking for something different.

Beautiful store with incredible humans running it. They’ve taken the best of Latin American talent by showcasing local brands from Latino and international roots. I highly recommend the CHE Empanadas (Argentine style) and the Aioli Green sauce and their cheese teqüeños (made by them)!! Must visit!

Came here to try the burrito after getting a BOGO offer and was very impressed. They are a little on the smaller side so if you are hungry be sure to get the large size. Overheard them talking to another customer regarding the Nicaraguan Empanadas and it sounded so good that we ended up getting one. Did not disappoint. Definitely worth dropping by and giving them a shot. All their products are locally made within Alberta, if not Calgary, so that's a plus. They also have a kitchen that they rent out, of which some of the products/food they offer are made by local entrepreneurs.
