Have been a Shaw customer for a few years and had nothing but issues. Paying currently for 60 and receiving 5. Id say when you pay upwards of 100 per month ive been ripped off royally.The company says they can not provide service of that speed due to service lines been unable to handle usage in the area. Why offer it then..why has myself along with thousands others paying for service they simply can not provide.ccts is who you make a formal complaint with here in Canada. If you are someone who has been effected by this fraud

When I originally got Shaw, the installer placed the modem in the basement in a location that severely limited the signal to a good part of the house. I was told by him that it would be no problem. When I contacted Shaw, I was told that I would have to move it to the better location myself, or pay for a service call. Beautiful! pay for inferior service. When the service contract was done with the 'promotion' over, the cost of service did nothing but go up. I signed a 2 year plan (what choice did I have, really? Don't sign & pay even more?) which cost over twice the promotional price. Nice progress.Next came moving to a location where Shaw could not provide service for me. So I was forced to cancel my service contract, which Shaw themselves could not honor as they could not provide service to my new home, at a cost of $262. Awesome. No compromise, no deal, just 'show us the money because that's how it is. I would have given Shaw a 0

Prices for internet are decent, the only issue is that they never give you the paid for speed. We're paying for 25 by 2.5, but are getting 12.8 by 2.5. Half of the guaranteed download speed is unacceptable.

Being someone that works as a customer care rep and being a customer a lot of the feedback in these reviews are based on customer emotion and nothing to do with their issue or concern. 90% of our wait time is due to people calling Shaw during a service alert during the wait time we tell them while waiting if you are here your services are offline yet they will wait and wait until they speak to us complain we tell them the same thing then they say ok bye….. or better yet people want us to fix their 3rd party products d-link routers lynix computers or setup their email on their blackberry……. Or their son or daughter decide to give there elderly parents a new computer or ipad and expect us to teach them.The BIGGEST CALL DRIVER is customers who call in and have aboslutly no idea what they are doing this can range from then not knowing there comptuer to them getting a virus or them not knowing how to press the power button on a remote... These are just a few examples but I hope in seeing this you understand there are always 2 sides to a story instead of bitching about how a company sucks how about doing something positive and providing feedback so we can better help you and please understand we are a business understand what you sign up for and understand what we actually do before calling in then maybe you will have a good experience.

This is the most frustrating internet provider I've ever used. Every time the cold weather hits (which is frequently in Calgary), my internet goes down. My internet connection is like a yo-yo! I've tried calling but no improvements. Time for a change before I lose my hair!!

Shaw seems to take a bit of a beating in these reviews. That is unfortunate. My experience with Shaw Communications have generally been quite pleasant. Of course I don't contact them until there is a problem, and sometimes the problem is me ! Wow, imagine that eh, a man saying he may be the problem. The best thing ever is the fact that Shaw people help me. The problem, difficulty,billing, tech stuff....it gets FIXED ! All of it. Always. I found that the call back feature when necessary is awesome. Too bad other companies don't have it. And yes, I was AGT and Telus prior and will never ever in a lifetime go back, even with a new 40 inch tv to bribe me. That is how much I appreciate folk who try and are honest in that attempt. The service provided by this company is worse than anything I've ever received before. I hold for 10 mins to speak to an agent and what do I get? They hang up on me! Is this how Shaw train their employees? I tried the call back service and they hang up on the first ring. What is this outrage? Shaw shouldn't get any stars and I hope it goes bankrupt soon.

Why it is that every time my cable stops working it takes more than a week to get a tech to come by? When I question this every time I get the same answer we are hiring and training more people now".....well Shaw you have been using that same excuse for years and nothing has changed...Start hiring more people or I'm moving companies."

Shaw is a great company, great customer care in general - of cause, they are humans, it is possible to talk to someone who isn't in a good mood that day but it does not mean that it happens all the time.So, Thanks for being a good supporting company that provides us the most important thing that we need to run our Lives, which is Internet and all that comes with it....}
