I've edited this review once. I'll let you, my reader, guess why.Yep, it's because they actually fixed the issue I was experiencing. If you weren't guessing that, then... I dunno, but let's just say, I'm a happy camper.Shaw has done a great job providing not only a great connection speed, but also great customer service and support. Sometimes disconnections happen, sure, but there is a fix for everything, such is the way of technology.I hope to see continual improvements made, and I hope to see great customer support like the support I got. The services themselves are excellent when you get them to work, so if you're having trouble, consult your Shaw Support site or representative.Though, I still say they should change out the Hitron Modems for a better model. After all, it should just work. ;P(NOTE: If you happen to go through router power cycles like I did (where the router seemingly resets itself) and you happen to be using a power bar (see next paragraph for non-power bar users), try plugging the modem's power adapter directly into the wall. The explanation I got is that the modems like to use less power at night, and this conflicts with certain power bars. While I don't buy it immediately, it does work.If you already have it directly plugged into an outlet, or the above doesn't work for whatever reason, unscrew the coaxial input and then unplug the power. Wait one to two minutes, screw the coaxial back in, and plug in the power adapter. Give it time to boot up, and see if that works.If THAT doesn't work and it still power cycles, call the Shaw people. After having them pull up the account details, explain that you tried these steps. They'll either run through the above steps once again and reset the services after unplugging the coaxial and then power, or send a technician out.If they did the latter and THAT still doesn't work, call them and ask for a technician to come out and have a look at it. The reason for it being that the router power cycles itself. They'll hopefully fix it. I never got to requiring a technician yet, and hopefully won't need to, but if the above steps don't work, the technician will know exactly what they're doing.)

Asked for quotes for TV and was told 47$ a month… never once paid that, it was always more $. When I cancelled my internet but kept the TV I had to pay 300$ to break contract that I didn’t even know I was in.. they will offer you deals that will cost you less but don’t mention a 2 year contract involved.. so after paying 300$ to cancel and sending back my modems they charged me 100$ for not returning them.. after I sent them the delivery confirmation tracking number I was told I’d get refunded / credited for the 100$ charge, and never did. I will never use this company again nor would I recommend it. Telus has way better plans and cheaper than Shaw anyways.

Switching my internet service provider was incredibly fast, easy, and dare I say enjoyable! Ashley answered all my questions and brought up things I would not have thought to ask about. I arrived expecting to throw away the rest of my day, but the whole process took maybe an hour. Thank you!

Shaw mobile services in Medicine Hat are very poor, low reliability. High frequency of dropped calls, unable to make calls, unable to receive calls on both lines on a regular basis. I have called tech support multiple times and I have been told that Shaw is aware of poor connectivity issues for the City of Medicine Hat and area; and they have no ETA to correct the problem. Support has attempted to manipulate settings on the devices to make the service better, nothing seems to work. Shaw should not be offering plans in the City of Medicine Hat and area when the service is poor. Don't let the value pricing fool you, the service is extremely poor and you will not have reliable service. After multiple attempts to get the connectivity issues rectified, no resolution...

I enjoyed the services and devices that we're shipped to me. I don't like having to keep cancellimg my 2-Year term again and again because of my moving into and out of homes with Shaw already installed. The last thing I needed were contracts I was forced to pay out.

I ordered shaw internet for the Black Friday Deal that comes with a cheap cell phone plan. Unfortunately the self connect option didn't work and I needed to call support.I was absolutely amazed that the techs were available the next day. They came to my house and had to climb up the power pole to activate my coax connection, then ran coax cable through my basement and into my living room to hook up to my computer. They were here for 20 minutes and worked extremely fast. I was incredibly impressed with their support. The 2 techs that visited my house were professional and worked very quickly. They deserve a raise

So I went cause I heard that their cell phone plan was inexpensive. Not only was that wrong, but they told mistruths about my previous provider. Their current promotion that ties their mobile service to cell service us a farce. They were easily $30 a month more for less service and options than my regular mobile provider.

I was customer for many years with the Shaw and Internet is horrible then I found out my internet is the slowest and they charged me $89 I asked them to Upgrade my Internet and they want me to Sign two year's contract and I didn't want sign contracts because I was Existing customer and I told them to canceled our Internet with them and they did just like that thay didn't tried to keep customers welcome telus to my home picture is not blurry nothing wrong with my tv Shaw I'm very disappointed with you I don't recommend any service with you to anyone anymore you charged me lots of money for speed 15 Shame

Absolutely the worst wifi and tv ever. I’ve had to change my wifi box like 10 times, my tv is trash cutting out all the time, when I record my shows they’re constantly cutting out and my screen is all fuzzy. I’ve had to pay for alternate apps in order to be able to successfully watch my shows. I complain they come and fix it then 2 days later it’s trash again. Really wish I wouldn’t have signed another contract as my services were this way with the previous contract but decided to give them a chance since I moved to a new place thought maybe the services would perform better here but that’s not the case I will be going elsewhere after this.

Representative had little useful information and was quick to blame issue on other devices. Quickly referred me to online help desk as he wasn't interested in solution.Problem solved through other outside information resource and problem stemmed from Shaw equipment.
