Family went here growing up, just moving back to halifax after 15 years gone and dad is still going here for his car maintenance. Had to get inspection and repairs done, came here as a familiar place and nothing has changed. Same great place, affordable but more important honest. Told me exactly what was needed, explained everything and both cars are running perfect after the repairs. I recommended this place to anyone, cant stress the honesty part enough.

My husband and I took a car we were planning to buy from a dealer for a pre sale inspection. Let's just say the business trying to sell the car was a bit shady so I really wanted a second opinion on the state of the car before we put more money down. The guys at Main St Automotive were so great. I'm honestly impressed and would highly recommend this place. They were on time, honest, professional, and they helped me avoid a mistake with that car.

Good service and honest auto shop. I had my MVI done this morning, they informed me about the problem that I should get it fixed next time. The problem would not affect the car's safety, but I believe that with other auto shop, they probably would ask you to fix the minor problem before MVI. The place is always busy, normal booking is about two weeks, but it is worth the waiting. This is the only 5-star rating auto shop in dartmouth.

I cannot say enough good things about Larry and the Team at Main Street Auto. They have always been so professional, kind and have always been able to squeeze me in with my many car troubles. Being new and learning about the car world Larry and team ALWAYS go above and beyond to help educate me on everything they’re doing! Best prices around, best guys around! Would give 6/5 stars if I could!
