A great place for playing with RC toys. Grass is really soggy after a rain. A bit private, I didn’t feel safe leaving the kids to go to the car for batteries.

RC aircraft field. For WCRCAF Club field- West Coast Radio Controlled Aircraft. Has a runway and lots of room to fly model aircraft from planes to helicopters to drones. Must have valid MAAC insurance and join the club too.

A great RC Model aircraft flying field and a RC Model racing car club are located in the Upper Coquitlam River Park. They open annually from April to September. However, the circumstance in this area is disappointing because of some nearby businesses that are destroying the environment. The quality of air, water and land that may be in a high risk is worrying. From Galette Avenue heading north, on the Pipeline Road, you can see the resources and environment are polluted, and that’s an ugly face of our city. Moreover, our drinking water supply is in this area and very close. How can the quality of water be guaranteed?! I am really concerned about this situation and think the government should take action to protect our residents and our city.
