Very good advice on whether to repair transmission..or give up on the truck!

I had a transmission failure in a heavy duty truck that had been rebuilt twice by other shops. KT figured out what was causing the failures and corrected the cause. Seven years later it shifts like new. You can't win by choosing cheap over honest and knowledgeable . These guys do it right the first time.

Tommy is likely the best transmission builder in Ontario. Very talented, honest and stands by his work. He is always busy so if you want it done right, be patient, he will get to it.

My first car was taken to this garage to look over and make sure it was suitable and perfectly roadworthy. Along the way it needed other minor repairs that were fixed right the first time with absolutely no worries. So now that I have got a newer vehicle, I know that my dad will be safe in my little hand me down. Being able to drive with confidence knowing your vehicle has been repaired perfectly the first time is what makes this garage stand apart from all others. We ended up stranded on the 401, with obvious transmission issues. We looked to see whom had good reviews. Kingston transmission was rated tops and their service proves it ! They called us every step of the way. Checked and double checked to make sure it was repaired and there wasn’t any other issues. Price was under what was quoted as well ! Darla and Tom are good people I’d recommend!

Brought my car in to replace a failed slave cylinder and clutch, very pleased with the job they did and customer service was excellent!

Extremely disappointing experience. We paid $1000.00 dollars for a radiator replacement. A couple weeks after the replacement we noticed we were losing coolant. Giving the benefit of a doubt, we figured the engine may have had an air lock when they were replacing the coolant. We simply bought more and refilled the coolant reservoir. A couple weeks further on we noticed the coolant had dropped again, we returned to Kingston Transmission to have them look at it. To make a long story short, they said someone else had been working on the motor because the new clamps on the hoses. (One can only conclude from that statement that they re-use the old clamps). The reality of the situation is that no one had been under the hood other than us to replace lost coolant. I pointed out a clamp devise still fastened to one of the transmission lines, the mechanic read it and said, Master Craft
