Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Mississauga - Dixie/Queensway

Great program with visible results in few weeks. My daughter had some knowledge of the alphabet and was able to decode some words when she started her program at Kumon. In couple of weeks she started to read sentences and little paragraphs. She went through similar process in Math. Her work with Kumon have given her discipline and has developed her ability to focus for a longer period of time at her age. I will certainly recommend this place to everybody.

Kumon is helping my son to understand and love math. A little bit of extra practice from Kumon trains your brain and discipline your kids to do homework every day. My son who is age 10, understands math that is otherwise taught in grade 8. He can also solve math problems to use different ways. Our instructor Matloob Hussain is very professional, qualified, and intelligent teacher. Kumon is a good place for children to learn math and English.

Firstly, we are extremely happy with our experience with the Kumon program broadly and the results we are getting for our daughter who is in both math and English. However, we recognize that this largely thanks to the owner of this specific location, Mr. Hussein. He is very engaged in working with the kids on a daily basis (he's always present). He is helpful, thoughtful, patient, and genuinely caring about your child's learning and progress. We often remark that he is perfect person and the type of personality for this job, soft spoken, calm but still commanding respect of the students and the parents. He has a lot of experience and throughout the last three or so years that our daughter has been attending (currently 9 years old) he has fully gained our confidence and trust in him. Results are amazing. When she started she was behind her school grade" level and she is now pulling ahead. The speed with which she does large number multiplication

Kids these days face a problem of concentration and short attention spans due to exposure to screens and quick gratification. Since we have enrolled my son at the KUMON centre for Math and English, , his school performance has improved dramatically. KUMON teaches process and habits through positive reinforcement and daily practice. Mr M at the centre is very serious and motivated and wants the best for the kids. I believe this is one of the best investments we have taken towards our child’s future and I would encourage every parent reading this to consider KUMON. I have not been incentivized to make this statement apart from a strong belief in the process and a desire to help other parents. I just wish we had enrolled him sooner! I hope this helps you to make a decision.

Kumon helps our kids a lot in reading and solving math problems. We are thankful to the staffs and especially to Matloob in giving us time to discuss how are our kids make progress in every level.

Great program for kids and I personally love this centre . Mr. Matloob Hussain(Instructor) is so professional and he is always there to guide and answer questions all time .. Definitely recommend this centre

I cannot speak highly enough of this outstanding Kumon center. It has surpassed my expectations and played an instrumental role in unlocking my children’s confidence. The dedication, passion and expertise of Mr. Hussain and his staff has created an environment where students thrive and feel taken care of. Mr. Hussain actively listens, offers guidance and tailors his teaching methods to suit each student’s level of comprehension. I wholeheartedly recommend this Kumon center to any parent seeking an excellent learning institution.

Kumon is one of the best educational investments I made for my children. We have been with Mr Hussain for over 4 years, and all my kids are happy to be in this program. Mr Hussain is very approachable, very helpful and accommodating. I feel my kids take away a lot from this program!

Kumon has helped my children immensely with everything from multiplication tables to now fractions etc. The environment is very professional, patient and inviting. Kumon has been a great program for teaching math fundamentals and building confidence in students.

Found little value at this Kumon reading centre for the cost (about $150/month). Kids were given timed worksheets which they did at home and at the centre. Did not see any real significant one on one time at the centre. Instructor/owner mainly walked around with his pointer stopping at students from time to time either just watching them work or providing some comments. Few comments provided back were very roughly delivered. Very formal militant style here. Didn't see any smiles, joy or real interest on the face of the instructor or his assistants. Ditto for the kids who were there. When kids were done they were simply told to leave - I didn't see or hear any sort of farewell or smile or niceness on the face of any staff. Didn't get the sense they're really passionate or caring about kids and their learning either. It was a puppy mill type of learning environment - one in and one out. I will be investing instead in the Kumon workbooks and spending time walking the kids through the material properly.
