The Cove Waterfront Grill
This is probably the worst experience that i’ve had at a restaurant. I am gluten free/dairy free due to allergies. I asked my server how the gluten free bread is because some restaurants make it homemade, etc. when i asked this question the server gave me a weird look and said in a rude tone “i don’t know i’ve never tried the gluten free bread before”. the server did not even try and explain what it’s like. i then asked if i could have 5 minutes to decide what i would like to eat, she agreed and left the table. one of the people who i was with then asked “why do you need 5 minutes?”, while i was explaining why i didn’t know what i wanted, the server proceeds to walk over to the table. She interrupts my conversation and very rudely and abruptly explains that she’s a vegetarian and if someone were to ask how a burger were she would say the same thing. she was acting as if i was bothered by the fact that she hasn’t tried the bread. it was completely uncalled for and everyone at my table couldn’t believe that she talked to me the way she did. she walked away and didn’t come back to the table for 10 minutes, then i was able to place my order. Once she was doing payments, she gave everyone their bills and was taking everyone’s payments. i gave her my cash and said i needed change, she wouldn’t take my money until she got everyone else settled and then left me until last, it was definitely an intentional thing. i am a server myself and i could never imagine treating one of my guests like that.not only was the service not great, but the salad that i had ordered was not good. The chicken was dry and the dressing was not good. My friend had ordered the fish and chips and the fish was well overdone and felt like a tough steak on the inside. i had paid $17 for a salad that i didn’t eat and didn’t even get asked if it was good, she took the plate away with all the food on it and didn’t mention anything about it.

Check your bill to make sure you’re not overcharged! Food was okay (nothing spectacular though haven’t tried the entire menu), view is nice, (patio chairs, if you have any back issues - not great in my opinion). Waitress staff were nice.Re: being overcharged… once home and realized, I called back no answer, called back again - someone picked up and hung up, so left a voicemail. Days later, No return call, explanation or apology. Is it the end of the world considering the amount? no. For me, it’s the fact that in my voicemail I asked someone to call back (not only for myself but for the next person getting overcharged as this was a (new) waitress error, especially considering todays economy.

Prices are good, especially when you consider the portion sizes. View would be more impressive in summer, when stored boats aren't blocking view of the lake.

This place is absolutely fabulous! Everything I've eaten here is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is fantastic! It's always a blast when I come here!

My book club has been to the Cove on two separate occasions. We had a private space upstairs. The owner was very friendly and the food was delicious! I will definitely go back to this restaurant!

One of the only options further out on the east end, but I'm glad to report that the food and service is awesome!I've been frequenting this spot for a couple years and every time it satisfies that pub food craving. The fish and chips are incredible!

Enjoy supporting this East End locally owned restaurant. Prefer dining in to take out. Salads are Seinfeld big salad" size. BBQ chicken salad is a winner and love their Cobb salad which unfortunately is just on the menu during the summer. Super busy in the summer months when you get to enjoy the outdoor verandah dining with the view of the water...so get there early for dinner or for weekend lunch/brunch."

Shared the Ceasar salad and the chicken casadia with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were the highlight best I've had in ages would return just for them.Chicken casadia was good but I prefer a few jalapenos cooked into mine or a better hot sauce.Ceasar salad was very generous with lots of bacon but the dressing was on the bland side not enough garlic and likely no anchovies, we commented and we're told it was store bought.They were busy so service was on the slow side but not outside normal parameters.

Absolutely incredible! The food was delicious, the portions immense, the service fantastic and for the price? Most certainly will be returning! Our server was super friendly and gave us truly great recommendations (the cheese curds were definitely worth it). Can't wait for the summer so we can properly enjoy the views and try out the outdoor patio.If you're in the area and looking for some good quality comfort food, this is the place!P.S. The Caesar salad that came with my Shephard's pie has to be the one of (if not the) best Caesar salad I've ever had
