St. Moses & St. Katherine Coptic Orthodox Church

Very beautiful church. I and my family went for communion at this church and I have nothing but praise for Abouna and the servants of the church who made sure everything ran smoothly and followed all the guidelines. Deep and intense spirituality in this church and it shows in the dedication that the men and women of the community have for their service and their love for the church and this saintly father the priest. It was thoroughly a beautiful experience. Would recommend visiting just to pray in this space.

I love my church, it welcomes everyone... it's a place where you get to know God through people that serve there. Really blessed to have been introduced to this amazing downtown church ❤❤

It is very spiritual church, both it’s priest Father Jone and it’s congregation.

This is a cozy, warm, friendly community led by an outstanding man and human being: Abouna John. His human fiber is such that he will touch you with his words and message.A man that is a 100% focused on the community and serving the parish.The Sunday service is very well attended and the sermon after the service, in the function room, is a really special reflection of how to apply Christianity and God’s commandments and principles in our modern, fast paced life.

SMSK is our second home, I recommend this church for everyone looking to build community, fellowship and mature spiritually. As an added bonus, they have the best orban and serve you a gourmet breakfast after mass.

What a wonderful community of beautiful heart-centred people. Father John is an absolute treasure -- he is the most welcoming, nurturing, kind and humourous Abouna's I have ever met. I feel very welcomed and at home at this ministry, despite having not grown up as a Christian. I highly recommend SMSK for anyone who is interested in Christianity and/or Christians in the downtown area. This Church is particularly great for young people looking to connect with other spiritual seekers who desire a sense of community and belonging outside of the daily secular grind. I attended the camp fires throughout the summer and have been attending the weekly Alpha program at the Church -- the company and conversation are very heart-warming. The church itself is cozy and comfortable with a very intense spiritual energy - particularly in the main room upstairs. You can really feel the power of all the saints and the prayers in the building when you're in there --take a visit and see for yourself.

I converted in 2012 and started attending here (whenever possible) 2 years ago. First church I felt 100% welcome and accepted as a new(ish) convert and a woman. Feel great bringing my young children here. Father John is amazing.

I've been to many Christian circles.This is the best one yet. I love the community spirit and reverence for God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Born and raised Coptic, but I’ve NEVER been to a church with such an amazing and supportive community. The whole congregation is so welcoming and accepting of ALL (unfortunately not something I can say about too many churches). Father John simply exudes love and humility, and he does so much for his community both in- and out- of the church. If you’ve never been to a Coptic church before, look no further. Services are mostly English (little Coptic, no Arabic).
