We worked with Draft on Site for our duplex project. They where knowledgeable in helping us determine what is needed in a duplex, and how we can design for success. They incorporated our ideas and involved us with the design process so the product produced was exactly what we wanted.

We highly recommend the design services of DOS Design Group, who prepared an outstanding design for our exterior house renovation. We love the final design and many people, whether friend or stranger, have complimented us on how good the house looks. We are impressed by not just DOS’ design but also by their design process. This is especially true given that our previous experience with an “award-winning” design-construction company has been absolutely disastrous, and we have had to learn the hard way that not all design services are what they claim to be.To begin with, on our first meeting with DOS before we had signed a contract or paid even a single penny, Nick and Shira freely shared design knowledge and ideas and gave us more information in one free meeting than we got from many months of invoiced, business-focused meetings with our previous in-house designer for a contractor. It was obvious to us that designing was a passion for Nick and Shira and not just a means to make money, which probably goes a long way towards explaining why their work is so outstanding!Second, we greatly appreciated that Nick was a good listener who made a concerted effort to understand what we wanted and ultimately incorporated all the architectural elements that we asked for. Moreover, DOS did not just reproduce what we said we wanted but blended in additional and exciting dimensions to our requests. The final result is that we truly feel ownership of the end results as it incorporates the elements we had imagined, but at that same time, it was much better than we had envisioned or could come up with on our own. This is exactly what we had hoped to get from a designer, and DOS produced!Finally, we were very impressed with the interactive process where our feedback on interim designs were quickly incorporated and turned around, culminating in a final meeting where renderings were instantly redrawn or changed during our meeting so that we could more easily compare and decide on competing scenarios. This, in contrast to our previous experience where even minor design changes took weeks if not months to incorporate and were more often than not done incorrectly!Thank you to Nick and to all DOS team members who contributed to the stellar design of our renovation. Being new to doing a house renovation, I had no idea what to expect when I hired Draft on Site. At first the quote seemed a bit high, at least higher than I had expected. Now I feel like I'm getting exceptional value for my money. Honestly, I probably would have given up on the renovation if it wasn't for them. The only reason this company has (at the time of this writing) all 5 star reviews, is because Google doesn't let you give more than 5 stars. Highly recommend. Like super highly recommend.

We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Nick and his team from start to finish. They listened to our ideas and came up with a draft that was exactly what we wanted, adjusting as we felt we needed. The 3D plan they created was very helpful too, in visualizing what we wanted. They have thorough grasp of what will work within the constraints of the City By-Laws.They were tenacious in dealing with Vancouver City Council over many months and keeping us informed about the process. Dealing with this city is not for the faint of heart and Nick managed to negotiate his way through the ever- changing By -Laws and demands made by the city.We are truly delighted with our newly renovated home and recommend Nick and his team to you.

Nicks team, professionalism, patience, and ability to create our vision have been absolutely beyond our expectations. We would not hesitate to use their services again and would refer them to anyone out there.

Working with DOS was a nightmare. Nick does not have full knowledge of the building code and both he and Shira do not have a handle on their staff. We contracted them to design our dream home and their estimate was $50k-55k. We dismissed them after several mistakes but mostly because of the hours that their team were billing to us for changes that we repeatedly had to ask them to make. There is high turnover at DOS because I suspect Shira does not let her team do their job. She meddled in interior design when she had an interior designer on staff. That employee soon left. The engineer on staff left as well. Nick informed us that we need to have a sprinkler system installed and added it to the plans without consulting us. It turns out that sprinklers are not mandatory and if I did not catch this we would have paid about $16k for this un-needed feature. We paid $85k and that was without delivering on many items. I would estimate that they completed about 70% of the contracted project. I have spoken with a lawyer and collected evidence to take them to small claims court soon. I will update when that wraps up.

Shira and Nick are absolute pros, and their staff are the best. Great design work combined with tight knowledge of each city's priorities and processes. No, they are not cheap, but they are excellent value. Never forget the costs of getting it wrong! DOS Design Group is the right choice. Would I recommend them to a friend? Absolutely! That's why we keep going back there for each and every project.

Nick & Shira at Draft On Site Services did an excellent job on designing our new work shop. We like their modern way of drafting with lasers and tablets all uploaded to auto cad. They are fast and affordable with superb customer service.

I Am a General Contractor and found the entire Draft On Site team to be very easy to work with. They delived upfront pricing, great customer service and promt solutions to zoneing and building code issues. I would highly recommend them and will be using them on my next project.

Nick and Shira are the two most detail-oriented people I know. Their work is superior, every time, due to their interest in making ever project come out perfectly. For measuring, or any kind of renovation design, you definitely need Draft On Site.
