LRO Staffing

Absolutely pointless but even more disappointing since it was careless. had my first interview with Lee Anne McDougal which lasted 5 minutes. In the email the reason given for the interview was to get to know my work experience , talk about what I am looking for and then, she would explain the position I applied for in more detail and the company (LRO) as a whole. She asked me exactly three quick questions about the first two subjects I mentioned above and that was it. She didn’t talk about the company in any details nor the position I applied for. Didn’t bother to offer any comments or follow up questions with what I provided as answers. Not too sure how 5 minutes could allow you to get to know a candidate. If that’s the way she thinks an initial interview is to take place then, might as well have sent a questionnaire and be done with it.

I have partnered with LRO for myself during the recruiting process as well as when I have been looking for staff. They are an amazing firm on both fronts. They are honest about the roles and the environment so you know what you are getting into if you get hired of if you are looking for a candidate.The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. LRO was the first experience I had with a recruitment agency so I didn't know what to expect. I had interviews with two recruiters for different lines of work. The first recruiter was friendly but essentially didn't help me with anything and promised a follow up yet I never heard back. The second recruiter reached out to me first, had an excellent interview and even told me she found a good job match and sent along the job description. A week later I heard nothing and she came back to me with an excuse that the client was out of office and she would get back to me in 2 days when the client returns. Again I heard nothing for another week so I decided to work with a different recruitment agency. That agency got me an interview with that exact job I was working on with LRO the same day. I would of appreciated some form of communication from the LRO recruiters as I feel as they were not being transparent. In my opinion there are much better agencies to work with and that is where I ultimately found my employment.

I applied for a posting through LRO staffing and within a week I was able to secure a role. The LRO interview and onboarding process is pretty straightforward and everyone was pleasant along the way. Shannon, my point of contact, was stellar and always readily available. I highly recommend using this placement agency.

Working with LRO staffing was a fantastic decision for myself and my career. I was nervous initially as I felt I was not far enough along in my career yet to work through a staffing agency, but after my first contact with them I was assured that they often connect people with junior/mid-level positions. If you are someone who believes recruiters are only for people in the latter stages of their career I would highly recommend LRO.As for as interactions with staff go, LRO was amazingly kind and professional. Mia took the time to get to know me to make sure I could be linked with a position that would be the right fit for me. After a position was found, Lee-Anne did a great job of keeping constant contact to ensure I had the proper guidance I needed throughout the process. In the end, they both shared my excitement for a new chapter in my career.If you are tired of spending countless hours on cover letters that don't get a response, I couldn't recommend LRO enough. It is a passive job search, conducted by others on your behalf, so you can focus on other avenues. I do urge your patience as it could be a few months until the right job for you comes along, but it is worth it in the end. I personally received a position that was an exciting new challenge in a meaningful industry, while also securing a significant boost in salary from my previous job.Thank you LRO for all your help, I will be recommending your services to all my friends!
