Fairmont Château Lake Louise

Amazing. From start to finish, the hotel and its staff provided exceptional service that went far and beyond my expectations. Everyone from the restaurant staff, to the concierge, to the equipment rental staff were all incredibly polite and went out of their way to be extra friendly and helpful. I proposed to my now-fiancee while at the hotel, and they did everything they possibly could to make it unforgettable. We'll be back!

We were blown away by our amazing view of the lake from our room, and were relieved to be staying here for ease of parking and ease of access to things around the lake in general. Being able to cut straight to the front of the line for canoe rentals was a huge plus of staying here (otherwise people who weren't staying at the chateau were waiting at least 2 hours...no joke). The only reason for 4 stars is the never-ending throngs of people EVERYWHERE at all times. Unlike our experience at Moraine Lake Lodge or Emerald Lake Lodge, there never seemed to be any reprieve from people here. It was constantly packed inside and out. Also, the hot tub and steam room area was disappointingly small with no view. Anyways, we were still glad we stayed here, mostly for the ease of access and the stunning view from our room. If you only want to splurge on a single place in the area, I would pick Moraine Lake Lodge over Lake Louise. Not only were the accommodations more luxurious and worth the price, but Moraine Lake itself was much more stunning in our opinion.

Beautiful resort right on the lake shore, worth every cent for the views and the service.We had a lake view room, do remember that this is an older hotel, the room sizes and bathrooms are smaller than what we are used to in modern hotels.The restaurant, cafe and shop selection is great fun, plenty to do around the resort when weather doesn't go to plan for exploring outdoors.

We stayed here for a celebration. The staff that we met and served us were absolutely incredible. So friendly, so willing to assist and just engage in great conversations. I cannot say enough. The room was excellent with great views and all the little extra touches one might think of from beside slippers to turn down service. We had an all around excellent experience here. I was sad when it was over.

Yes it was pricy but I felt the convenience paid it off. This is one of the few hotels I’m willing to pay $1000+ for the view and the convenience. I prefer glacier lake mountain view over tropical island ocean views. The other better option would be Moraine Lake lodge in my opinion, but reserving one of their only four double beds rooms was just impossible unless you plan way in advance. Having a priority line at the boat rental place was amazing as there was a long line all day long. I was surprised that at check in we were offered a boat rental voucher, so it was essentially free. They offer a shuttle service to Moraine Lake with a reasonable fee, so you don’t have to move your car at all. I’m glad we stayed here, otherwise logistics would have been a nightmare. A memory to behold for sure.

The location is good as lake Louise is just at your doorstep, even viewable from your balcony or windows. Rooms were cozy with dim lighting everywhere, small bathrooms. Amenities provided in the room upon visit were very limited. They have a really good concierge team though!

I love this place. The views alone make it worth the distance and location. Service is top-notch. The amenities are incredible. The shops and food are great. All staff take care of all guests. The only downside? It's far away from everything else (except for Moraine Lake and the Lake Louise Village itself). But if you've got a view like below, who would wanna leave?

An amazing experience. Our room looked directly over the Lake. We just couldn't stop looking at the view, it was totally stunning and so spectacular. On our final morning just when we thought it was perfect it snowed and was so beautiful. A very special place.

Very nice hotel with tastefully decorated rooms. Our room had Lake View. The Lake Louise was frozen when we were there but the view was spectacular. The sunrise shone on the mountains which appeared as if they were made of gold. We could see people skating, skiing from our room. The restaurants are fantastic. Starting our day with a sumptuous breakfast buffet, we could check out the sights in and around town without having to stop to eat until we came back. The service is impeccable. The room rates are pricey but well worth the money. There are trails that start from the back of the hotel where you can hike, snow shoe, and ski. The trails are marked but sometimes while you are lost in admiring the natural beauty you may miss them. We did and walked quite a bit before realizing we were lost so we backtracked and returned to the hotel. Nevertheless, it was a good hike. If you are going to be hiking in winter, you may need spikes on your boots although a lot of people go without them. We would love to return to this hotel in future.

We had afternoon tea and loved the experience. We were on our honeymoon and they gave us 2 glasses of champagne to celebrate which was a really nice touch. The waiter, Nana, was lovely and gave us some advice for a walk after. We went to the mini beehive. Decent hike, perfect to burn off the calories after the meal.
