BOUILLON BILK
An outstanding gastronomical destination but my visit to this renowned restaurant has left me conflicted. On one hand, the scallops showcased the epitome of culinary finesse, leaving a lasting impression. The other dishes, were of quality but lack cohesion as the focal point was in competition or often overshadowed by the other components on the plate. Service wise, I was impressed by the chefs' personal involvement in deconstructing each dish which added to the ambiance and refined air. However, it was disconcerting to encounter occasional instances of the infamous 'French ego' from certain members of the bar staff.

This restaurant was exceptional. I went by myself and sat at the bar and the staff was incredibly attentive and told me lots about each plate. The food there is vibrant and has many different textures which makes each bite interesting. The lobster bisque was especially amazing with some very bright flavours. Overall, i had one of the best experiences eating there and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves food and creativity. Get the degustation menu and you won't regret the adventure!

We had the tasting menu and out of the 8 dishes we tried, really only two stood out: the artic char and the veal. The first was light and refreshing with different textures and flavours. The second, as main, was playful and perfectly cooked. It was about 200$ per person. Was it good? Yes. Was it phenomenal? Definitely not. The rating is for the overall experience, impeccable service and some glimpse of master chef cooking in the 2 dishes mentioned. Worth to try but I dont think I would do the tasting menu at my next visit.

Amazing restaurer! Service and food was impeccable. Their tasting menu is definitely a must try and I wish I could have more of their delicious homemade bread! More on the expensive side but definitely a must for foodies living or travelling in Montreal.

I came here for dinner with my friend from out of town. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They had a coat check service which was very much appreciated.We decided to have the 8-service tasting menu for 2 people.We started with the crab dish. It was good but quite ordinary.We then had the char dish which was light and delicious. I really enjoyed the different textures.The beef dish was next. It was quite enjoyable too.The linguine was tasty and al dente. Nothing special about this dish.The scallop was underwhelming. The reviews highly recommended this dish but it didn’t impress me.The veal dish was the main course. I enjoyed it wholeheartedly. The veal melted in my mouth. The sauce was amazing, not too salty. The nuts and vegetable complement the dish well.The goat cheese dish was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I think it was leading to the dessert.The strawberry dessert was good but the cream was a bit heavy. I would have preferred a lighter dessert.In all, it was a very nice experience.

Excellent meal, seemed appropriately priced for the variety and portions. Staff very attentive and some good witty banter. Would definitely go again.

This hidden gem was so perfect for my birthday dinner. We choose the 5 course meal with the adventurous wine tasting. Local Canadian wines!They perfectly complemented each course. Lovely and attentive service. Make a reservation because it’s a small and intimate space.

Had the five course tasting menu and it was honestly one of the better tasting meals I’ve had in a long time and quite reasonably priced for what you get at a more fancy dining establishment.Everything was presented well, flavors and texture were great and interesting. Would recommend.
