I love this place. It's become my next spot after Brasero. I know when the Indian chef is in the kitchen you are going to get the best tasting chicken ever! Fries are always nice and hot, and the salad is great. The staff is always friendly and so are the owners. Cute atmosphere inside too!

The food was good but it came a bit cold. We noticed bread crumbs on the chair and on the bread plate before we sat down and the waitress tried to clean the plate with her bare hands. Really made me question the cleaniness of this restaurant.

First experience tonight was amazing! The entrees we're delicious. The plates were big and tasty! Service was top notch! Honestly no complaints at all Such a cozy little place. I rate this a 10/10 definitely going to come back! Thank you for the wonderful service!

I ordered the lamb chops w shrimps from the table d'hote menu. The shrimps were very tasty and grilled to perfection. The lamb chops were juicy, well seasoned & grilled. The salad was fresh w a very good lemony dressing. Good coffee and egg tart to finish. The grilled sardines were fresh, well grilled and of good size.

First time trying out this restaurant and it was through delivery. Very well packed, food was warm when received and everything was delicious! Prices are fair for what you get. We will definitely come back in person next time and try out the food freshly served!

We ordered the mixed meat plater for two, which had a good portion. I liked the chicken but the pork and the sausage were a bit too salty for my taste. The atmosphere is good but the restaurant is small so I don't think it will be easy to come with very young kids.

I enjoy trying new restaurants. Portuguese food is one of my favorites, so, on a Thursday night we decided to eat out. It's difficult to find new places to eat that are good. Taking peoples advice can be tricky. But take this reviewers advice. You have to try this place. I was a traditionalist on this try. Chicken is the Portuguese standard. So that's what I did. Started with a small house salad. It was super fresh and tasty. Then I ordered the 1/2 chicken with fries. I was impressed. The chicken was perfectly cooked, so it remained juicy on the inside while crispy on the outside. Galo provides a piri piri sauce on the side so you can control your spice level. The fries were the same. Light and fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Accompanied by a spicy mayo.My husband had the meat mixed grill with a stuffed tomato on the side instead of the fries. He said the best part was the tomato, well worth the extra charge. He totally enjoyed the mixed grill but found it a bit pricey.One glass of wine was ordered without looking at a wine list; big mistake. So beware. Ask about the price before ordering. We got a 5oz glass for $14. The wine was good but not that good.The nata was small but very tasty. Not overly sweet, warm with a crispy, flaky crust. Great way to complete an enjoyable meal.

Absolutely incredible Portuguese restaurant in the town of Mount Royal! This was my second time at Galo but was even more so impressed. My girlfriend & I went for dinner and we grabbed the half chicken...comes with fresh salad & fries. We also had the grilled calamari & fried cod sticks....Delicious!! Amazing service (waiter even offered us complementary fries & salad for a short wait we had) and great prices! Highly recommended!!
